    Abstract: A post-processing method involves using a standby tray to receive a paper sheet to be supplied from a digital copier, a processing tray to receive a paper sheet dropped from a standby tray, a feed member which guides the rear end of a paper sheet received in a standby tray in the feeding direction to a processing tray, and scrapes and sends the rear end of a paper sheet dropped onto a processing tray to a stopper, a press member which clamps the rear end of a paper sheet received in a standby tray by cooperating with two feed members, and a stapler to staple the aligned rear ends of paper sheets. When a first paper sheet is supplied to the standby tray, the press member presses the rear end of the first paper sheet, to receive a second paper.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a semiconductor device capable of highly detailed patterning using a resist pattern having smoothed wall surfaces and reduced roughness. The method includes the steps of: forming a resist pattern over a base layer; applying a resist pattern smoothing material onto a surface of the resist pattern, thereafter heating and developing; and etching the base layer using the smoothed resist pattern, wherein one of an application thickness and a heat temperature is adjusted so as to smooth at least wall surfaces of the resist pattern. An exemplary apparatus includes a first illumination sensor for detecting light that is incident on a reflective mask from an illumination system and a second illumination sensor for detecting light that has propagated from the illumination system to a reference reflective surface on the reflective mask, reflected from the reference reflective surface, and arrived at an image surface of the projection-optical system. Calibration of the first sensor is performed based on detection data obtained by the first sensor and detection data obtained by the second sensor. Exposure of the substrate is controlled based on the detection data obtained by the calibrated first sensor.
