The BDTI structure includes a trench filling layer surrounded by an isolation dielectric stack. The pixel dielectric stack has a composition different from that of the isolation dielectric stack.

A bias voltage on the metal grid may be varied through the contact pad whereby a trade-off between reducing cross-talk and increasing quantum efficiency may be adjusted dynamically in accordance with the application of the image sensor, its environment of use, or its mode of operation.

    Abstract: A resonant control device and a resonant control method thereof is provided. The resonant control device includes a feedback controller and a processor. The feedback controller receives a reference voltage and an output voltage and use the reference voltage to perform voltage compensation on the output voltage to generate a control parameter. The processor generates pulse modulation signals according to the control parameter and a switching parameter and uses the pulse modulation signals to drive the resonant converter to regulate the output voltage. The pulse modulation signal has the maximum frequency and the minimum frequency. The pulse modulation signals control the frequency according to the control parameter and the switching parameter when the control parameter is larger than or equal to the switching parameter. Otherwise, the pulse modulation signals control the resonant converter to operate for a fixed period within each cycle of the pulse modulation signal.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for video coding using Intra prediction are disclosed. In one method, a first prediction sample in an immediately right column of the current block and a second prediction sample in an immediately below row of the current block are derived using angular prediction. The first prediction sample and a left column reference sample in the same row as the first prediction sample are interpolated to generate a horizontal predictor. The second prediction sample and an above-row reference sample in the same column as the second prediction sample are interpolated to generate a vertical predictor. The vertical predictor and the horizontal predictor are linearly combined to generate an angular-planar prediction sample. In another method, a first predictor is generated using angular prediction and a second predictor is generated using planar prediction. The first predictor and the second predictor are linearly combined to generate a fused Intra predictor.
