  • Patent number: 6935225
Abstract: A bread maker, including a main body having a baking space and kneading drums located at an upper part and a lower part in the baking space. The kneading drums hold opposite ends of a mixing bag. A movable tray member has a plurality of combining projections at opposite side walls thereof. A fixed tray member positioned opposite the movable tray member forms a slit through which the mixing bag passes. A tray holder is coupled to each end of the fixed tray member and the movable tray member. Each tray holder fixedly supports the fixed tray member, and has a plurality of guide grooves accommodating the combining projections to rotatably support the movable tray member. Anchoring prominences are on the guide grooves adjacent to the fixed tray member, preventing the combining projections from breaking away from the guide grooves when the movable tray member rotates.

  • Patent number: 6852959
Abstract: Disclosed is a circuit and a method for driving a DC microwave oven. The circuit for driving a DC microwave oven according to the present invention includes: an inverting means to convert DC into AC by a driving pulse; a high voltage transformer to transform the AC from the inverting means, and supply the transformed AC to a magnetron; a pulse driving means to generate the driving pulse; and an over-current detecting means to detect an electric current which is supplied to the inverting means from a DC power source, and output an over-current detect signal if the detected current is determined as an over-current, so as to avoid the generation of the driving pulse by the pulse driving means. According to the present invention, the driving of the magnetron could be stopped when a malfunction of an interlock switch caused by an error or the over-current from the DC power source is detected, and circuit elements can be advantageously prevented from being damaged by the over-current.

  • Patent number: 6845706
Abstract: A bread maker includes upper and lower rollers and a bar code scanner. The upper and lower rollers wind a mixing bag containing bread ingredients to form dough. The bar code scanner reads a bar code attached to the mixing bag so that, as the mixing bag is wound by rotation of the upper and lower rollers, the bar code scanner reads the bar code while being in contact with the bar code wound around one of the upper and lower rollers. The upper roller includes flat and arcuate portions. The flat portion is provided with an arcuate guide section to form a circular track together with the arcuate portion.

  • Publication number: 20040261627
Abstract: A bread maker having a main body, an oven accommodated in the main body, a baking tray provided inside the oven, and a door rotatably connected to the main body to open and close the oven, the bread maker including a sealing part on an inside of the door to prevent leakage of heat from the oven, and a rib extending from the baking tray to contact the sealing part. The sealing part of the door contacts a rib formed on the baking tray when the door is closed so that the sealing part does not protrude into the oven, which prevents the sealing part from being damaged or deformed by an external force, and allows the door to be manufactured using a simple assembling process that increases productivity. The bottom of the oven includes a protuberant part that minimizes the effects of an external force.

  • Publication number: 20040244601
Abstract: A bread maker having a main body having an oven compartment, a pair of parallel kneading drums spaced apart from each other inside the oven compartment and winding a mixing bag filled with ingredients to make bread thereon, and a drum driver driving the kneading drums to rotate, includes a rotation sensing part to sense rotated position of at least one of the kneading drums; and a controller to control the drum driver to decrease rotation torque of the kneading drum at a predetermined position before approaching a turning position of the kneading drum on the basis of the rotated position sensed by the rotation sensing part so as to approach the kneading drum slowly to the turning position. With this configuration, the present invention provides a bread maker and a method of controlling the same, which prevents a mixing bag from separating from a kneading drum due to excessive rotation of the kneading drums.
