Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and device for playing a 3D source on a smart TV. Sources in smart TV system have flag bit information. The method includes: when receiving a request for playing a designated source, determining whether the designated source is a 3D source; if yes, determining a synthesis manner of the designated source, and modifying flag bit information of the designated source according to the synthesis manner; and when receiving a poll request sent from an underlying synthesis module, returning the modified flag bit information to the underlying synthesis module, so that when finding that the flag bit information is modified, the underlying synthesis module sends an instruction for playing the 3D source to a play module to notify the play module to synthesize the 3D source using a synthesis manner corresponding to the modified flag bit information and play the 3D source.

Abstract: This present disclosure discloses a method and apparatus for processing 3D setting information in a smart TV, wherein a same global 3D setting function is shared by different applications in the smart TV, a system-global environment variable is preset in the global 3D setting function; and the method includes: presenting a 3D setting user interface upon reception of a 3D setting invocation request in a current application; modifying the value of the system-global environment variable according to a selection result of a user upon reception of the selection result at an operation entry in the 3D setting user interface; and switching, by the core display process of the operating system, a play state of the a video in response to a changing value of the system-global environment variable while polling the system-global environment variable. The disclosure can achieve global 3D setting.

The imaging system and can be used to obtain image data for generating a spherical image of the space surrounding the imaging system. A method for generating a spherical image from this image data assigns spherical coordinates to the pixels in the images according to a cylindrical projection that is individually aligned with the image plane of each image, and blends overlapping pixels and fills blank pixel spaces. The method can be applied to image data representing outward views from the vertices or centroids of faces of any Platonic solid.
