  • Patent number: 9381217
Abstract: Methods of encapsulating cargo in a microgel droplet, microgel droplets prepared according the provided methods, and methods of use thereof are disclosed. The methods of preparing cargo-encapsulated microgels generally include flowing through a flow-focusing nozzle of a microfluidic device a macromer phase, an oil phase, and a crosslinker phase to form microgel droplets by oil-water emulsion. The phases are pumped, injected, or flowed through the microfluidic device such that as the macromer phase approaches the flow focusing nozzle, the co-flowing oil phase shields the macromer from contact with the crosslinker phase until flow instability occurs and macromer phase droplets form. After flow instability occurs, the crosslinker diffuses from the crosslinker phase into the droplets in an effective amount to covalently crosslink the macromer into a microgel network encapsulating the cargo in the crosslinked macromer.

  • Patent number: 9372842
Abstract: Described is an improved approach for implementing a handshake mechanism to permit effective versioning and updates for data within an enterprise application. Version numbers are associated with sales catalog objects, where the appropriate version number is associated with the specific object to be published as the run-time object for the sales catalog. Each of the sales catalog versions is associated with a unique identifier, where one of the identifiers is recognized as the “run-time” version identifier. The sales catalog having the recognized run-time identifier value is visible to and accessible to the ordinary users of the system as the runtime sales catalog. All other sales catalog versions associated with other identifiers are not visible/accessible to ordinary users.

  • Publication number: 20160070603
Abstract: A task allocation method, a chip are disclosed. The method includes: determining a number of threads included in a to-be-processed task; determining, in a network-on-chip formed by a multi-core processor, a continuous area formed by routers-on-chip corresponding to multiple continuous idle processor cores whose number is equal to the number of the threads; if the area is a non-rectangular area, determining a rectangular area extended from the area; and if predicted traffic of each router-on-chip that is connected to a non-idle processor core and in the extended rectangular area does not exceed a preset threshold, allocating the multiple threads of the to-be-processed task to the idle processor cores in the area. According to the task allocation method provided in the embodiments of the present invention, problems of large hardware overheads, a low network throughput, low system utilization are avoided.

  • Patent number: 9021064
Abstract: Various techniques for providing product configuration as a Web Service are disclosed. One method involves receiving a Web Service signature requesting access to a product configuration session to configure a product and accessing information representing an instance of the product, in response to receipt of the Web Service signature. A responsive Web Service signature, containing information such as the price of the instance of the product, whether the instance of the product represents a valid configuration, and/or indicative of options available to further configure the product, can be returned to the application that requested access to the session. The requester can request multiple changes to the instance of the product, and validation of those changes can be delayed until after all of the changes have been applied (as opposed to each change being validated independently). A single configurator can handle requests received via multiple different sales channels.

  • Patent number: 8788370
Abstract: Various techniques for providing product versioning as a Web Service are disclosed. One method involves receiving a Web Service signature requesting access to a product model. In response to receipt of that Web Service signature, a product model that includes several versions of a product is accessed, and the current version of the product is selected from the product model. The product model can include future versions of he product that are not yet effective; such versions will not be selected as the current model prior to becoming effective. Information representing the current version can then be returned to the request in a second Web Service signature. A single object broker can respond to Web Service signatures requesting access to the product model from various different sales channels.
