  • Publication number: 20060023227
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for positioning a method for positioning a measuring device which emits and receives optical radiation to measure wear in the lining of a container, said method involving fixing coordinate systems for the measuring device and the container by combining that coordinate systems, and individually determining the positions of a plurality of specific fixing marks in the coordinate system of the measuring device, wherein each of said fixing marks is substantially regular in shape, wherein the position of the fixing marks are determined by: (a) deflecting an optical radiation beam across a first fixing mark in first and second intersecting directions and determining the position of the center and least two linear edges thereof and creating a first temporary coordinate system based on the position of the center and the directions of the at least two edges, (b) searching, based on the first temporary coordinate system, at least two further fixing marks and determining the posi

  • Patent number: 6711689
Abstract: An interception system and method for performing a lawful interception in a packet network such as the GPRS or UMTS network is described. The interception system comprises an interception activation monitoring function, an interception activation and deactivation function, an interception data collection function and an interception data destination function. The interception data collection function can be implemented in an existing network node such as a GPRS support node, wherein an interception information is set in the corresponding PDP context, and the collection of the intercepted data is performed in response to the set interception information. Furthermore, the interception data destination function may be arranged in an interception browsing element arranged for browsing the intercepted databased on an external command received from another network element comprising the interception activation and deactivation function.

  • Publication number: 20020181448
Abstract: In a packet radio network a packet data address is activated for a terminal for transmitting data packets between the terminal and an external network. Information on the activated packet data address is stored at least in the edge nodes of the network. To prevent spoofing, i.e. misrepresentation of sender data, the method and network node of the invention comprise checking (206) in the node whether the source address of the packet transmitted from the terminal is the same as the packet data address used in the transmission of the packet or does the source address belong to a set of allowed packet data addresses. The packet is transmitted (207) from the node towards the destination address only if the addresses are identical or the source address belongs to the set of allowed packet data addresses.

  • Patent number: 5706090
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for positioning a container for measurement of wear in the container lining. The method comprises taking a reference picture by a camera means of a set of at least three reference marks mounted on the container, and performing reference measurement of the container lining with a measuring device emitting and receiving optical radiation. Later, in the actual measurement situation, a measurement picture is taken of the set of reference marks with the camera means, and the actual measurement of the wear in the container lining is performed with the measurement device emitting and receiving optical radiation. By comparing the measurement situation picture with the reference picture, correction factors are calculated, on the basis of which the actual measurement of the wear in the container lining and the previously made reference measurement of the container lining are combined so as to be represented in the same coordinate system.

  • Patent number: 5570185
Abstract: A method for positioning a device emitting and receiving optical radiation for measuring wear in the lining of a container involves fixing the coordinate systems of the device and the container to each other by measuring the position of specific fixing points (P1, P2, P3) in the coordinate system (16) of the device (1). The fixing points have a regular shape. The position of each fixing point is measured by deflecting optical radiation in two intersecting directions across the fixing point, by measuring the optical radiation reflected from the fixing point, by determining on the basis of the optical radiation reflected to the measuring device at least two intersections, in both deflection directions, between the fixing point and the optical radiation emitted, and by calculating, on the basis of these at least four intersections, a directing point, to which the optical radiation emitted by the device is directed for determining the coordinates of the fixing point.

  • Patent number: 5546176
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for measuring wear in the lining of a container provided with a pivoted axle and an opening, and a container. Fixing of the coordinate systems (16, 17) of a measuring device (1) and the container (6) is performed by measuring the position of fixing points (P1, P2, P3) in the coordinate system (16) of the measuring device, whereafter the i0 lining (10) on the inner surface of the container (6) is measured. The fixing is performed by measuring the position of the fixing points (P1, P2, P3) mounted in connection with the container in the coordinate system (16) of the measuring device (1) in a situation where the opening of the container faces away from the measuring device while the measuring device is directed towards the container bottom. The container (6) is rotated around its pivoted axle (11) to a position in which the opening (9) of the container (6) faces the measuring device (1). The fixing is performed utilizing the angle difference between angle data (.alpha..sub.
