  • Publication number: 20210155334
Abstract: A device for establishing an electrical connection between a multiphase distribution grid of a ship and a multiphase supply grid on the land, having an electrical plug unit arranged on the ship and an electrical coupling unit arranged on the land for making electrical contact with the electrical plug unit of the ship, wherein the electrical coupling unit arranged on the land is designed to be able to be moved along at least a partial region of the ship. To create a device for establishing a land power connection of a ship that allows rapid and flexible establishment of electrical contact, it is proposed according to the invention for the electrical coupling unit on the land to be designed to be able to be moved in a manner guided by rails, wherein the electrical coupling unit on the land has a reception and guidance device for the wired plug of the electrical plug unit of the ship.

  • Patent number: 10232099
Abstract: A blood pump has a hollow body in which an impeller with a spiral blading produces an axial propulsion of blood along the impeller, as well as an at least partly actively stabilized magnetic bearing device and a hydrodynamic bearing device for the impeller. The impeller may be set into a rotation about a rotation axis of the impeller with a motor stator located outside the hollow body. The hollow body has an inlet for the flow of blood into the hollow body in an inflow direction which is essentially parallel to the rotation axis, and an outlet for the outflow of the blood out of the hollow body in an outflow direction which is offset to the rotation axis of the impeller to produce a non-zero outflow angle (?) between the inflow direction and the outflow direction. A total artificial heart can be formed from two such blood pumps.

  • Patent number: 10059419
Abstract: An apparatus for electrically connecting a polyphase vessel distribution system of a vessel to a polyphase land supply system having a supply system connection disposed on land to be connected to a vessel system connection of the vessel distribution system at least in sections by at least one cable connection, enables a fast and secure connection of the land supply system to the vessel distribution system. During normal operation, vessel movements can be reliably compensated by at least one articulated arm used as a support for one or more cable connections. The articulated arm has arm segments interconnected by at least one articulated connection. A joint drive is associated with each articulated connection for mutually pivoting the arm segments interconnected by the articulated connection, which is associated with the joint drive.

  • Patent number: 9097328
Abstract: A transmission includes a main gearbox and a power take off unit, wherein the power take off unit can be engaged with and disengaged from the main gearbox through an engagement mechanism having at least a first position engaging the main gearbox and the power take off unit and a second position disengaging the power take off unit from the main gearbox, wherein the power take off unit is provided with at least one lubricant inlet. The engagement mechanism includes a valve member and when the engagement mechanism is positioned in its second position, the valve member blocks the lubricant inlet, thereby preventing lubricant from flowing through the lubricant inlet into the power take off unit. When the engagement mechanism is positioned in its first position, the lubricant inlet is open and lubricant can flow through the lubricant inlet into the power take off unit.

  • Patent number: 8874503
Abstract: A system and method are provided for organizing information that can be shared among multiple individuals. The information is structured and categorized according to areas of concern, sub-areas of concern, concerns, outcomes, commitments, and occasions. Multiple disparate individuals may be associated with one or more areas of concern, concerns, outcomes, commitments, and/or occasions. If one individual fails to achieve an outcome, the remaining individuals may be notified automatically, enabling corrective action to be taken. New areas of concern, and their associated concerns, outcomes, and occasions may be added for one or more individuals. Additional features, such as calendars, to-do lists, and other features may be integrated with the present invention. Web-based and/or client-server interfaces can be used to review and/or update system information. Messages and conversations can be associated with particular nodes within the concern cascade.
