  • Publication number: 20100027759
Abstract: In a rotor for a gantry of a computed tomography apparatus, as well as a manufacturing method for such a rotor, the rotor is manufactured as to contain shaped bodies (at least in segments of the rotor) produced from a composite material. By the integration of such shaped bodies with high strength and rigidity, the rotor can be stabilized in a targeted manner in the regions in which high stress values that arise upon rotation of the rotor.

  • Publication number: 20100025590
Abstract: A rotor of a gantry of a computed tomography apparatus is produced at least in sections in a differential style from bar-shaped basic elements. Due to the differential style of the rotor, the rotation mass is reduced to a significant degree given a simultaneously maintained rigidity and stability of the rotor 1, such that high rotation speeds can be realized with a comparably small dimensioning of the rotor drive.

  • Publication number: 20100025591
Abstract: A rotor, and a gantry and a computed tomography apparatus with such a rotor, has recess to accommodate at least one component of an image data acquisition device, and the recess is dimensioned such that the component can be inserted therein in a radial direction proceeding away from a rotation center of the rotor and is positively connected with the rotor by an abutment structure provided on the component, as well as by spot connections. This positive fit thus acts in the direction of the centrifugal forces arising upon rotation of the rotor, such that an ejection of the component from the rotor is effectively prevented even given a failure of the spot connections (for example bolt connections) between the rotor 1 and the component.

  • Publication number: 20100027757
Abstract: A rotor for a gantry of a computed tomography apparatus, as well as a manufacturing method for such a rotor. The rotor according to the invention is produced at least in segments from a composite material with polymer matrix that is reinforced with fibers. The rotor thus has a high strength and rigidity, such that the deformation limits to achieve a sufficiently good image quality with simultaneously low structural volume and low weight are not exceeded, even at high rotation speeds.

  • Patent number: 7603162
Abstract: An imaging tomography apparatus, in particular an x-ray tomography apparatus or an ultrasound tomography apparatus, has a stationary unit with a sensor for measurement of an out-of-balance condition of an annular data acquisition device rotatable around a patient opening in the stationary device. Compensation weights for compensation of the out-of-balance condition are provided on the data acquisition device. To simplify the balancing procedure, the compensation weights are disposed in two parallel planes axially separated from one another, and in each plane at least three compensation weights are fashioned as chambers that can be filled with a fluid. At least two of the chambers are connected with one another via at least one conduit for fluid transfer therebetween exchange.

  • Patent number: 7374338
Abstract: A gantry for a computed tomography apparatus has a rotary carriage that is rotatable around an axis and a support ring arranged around the rotary carriage with a circumferential cooling channel. The support ring has a number of openings distributed around its circumference and forming a non-uniform opening pattern. The rotary carriage likewise has inflow and outflow openings that, in operation, overlap the openings on the stationary part of the computed tomography apparatus such that a coolant flows through between the support ring and the rotary carriage. A steady pressure fluctuation that leads to a reduction of the noise stress in operation ensues thanks to the non-uniform opening pattern.

  • Publication number: 20070018344
Abstract: The invention concerns a process and a device for generating a current of humid air having a defined relative humidity especially for the mixing treatment of a liquid on a liquid carrier (42). The process comprises the following steps: generating a current of air in a tubing arrangement (8), generating hot water vapour in an evaporator (10), introducing the water vapour into the air current to generate flowing hot humid air, passing the hot humid air through a water separator (20) while lowering the temperature of the humid air, heating the humid air coming from the water separator (20) to a certain temperature to lower the relative humidity to a defined value in a collecting chamber (30), and discharging the humid air from the tubing arrangement (8) as a current of humid air.
