  • Patent number: 4417068
Abstract: In a process for the addition of silanes or siloxanes having SiH groups to compounds with olefinic double bonds, the invention relates to the use of catalysts of the general formulaYX.sub.2 (NH.sub.3).sub.2in which Y is a platinum or palladium radical, andX is a chlorine, bromine or iodine radical or the NO.sub.2 group. The catalysts have a high selectivity. Side reactions and disproportionation reactions are avoided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 12, 1982
Date of Patent: November 22, 1983
    Assignee: Th. Goldschmidt AG
    Inventors: Hans-Joachim Kollmeier, Rolf-Dieter Langenhagen
  • Patent number: 4267078
Abstract: A method for easily degrading wastes consisting of the reaction products of organic materials containing isocyanate groups and specifically foamed polyurethane wastes by comminuting the waste and reacting it with alkylene oxide at 120.degree. C. to 200.degree. C. and removing the unreacted alkylene oxide. The products obtained are homogeneous liquids which can be added to polyols for reaction with isocyanates to form foamed polyurethanes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 5, 1979
Date of Patent: May 12, 1981
    Assignee: Th. Goldschmidt AG
Inventors: Werner Lidy, Gerd Rossmy, Hans-Joachim Kollmeier
  • Patent number: 4211849
Abstract: In the disclosed process of producing resilient open-celled, cross-linked polyurethane foams, by foaming polyol, polyisocyanate, catalyst and blowing agent, the foaming is effected in the presence of a cross-linker which is a saturated or unsaturated, aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, heteroaliphatic or arylaliphatic crystalline polyhydroxy compound having at least 3 hydroxy groups. The crystalline polyhydroxy compound is insoluble or only slightly soluble in the polyol to be foamed and melts within the temperature range of about 60.degree.-160.degree. C. The amount of crystalline polyhydroxy compound to be used corresponds to about 0.1-5.0 hydroxy equivalent weights per 1 hydroxy equivalent weight of the polyol to be foamed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 1, 1975
Date of Patent: July 8, 1980
    Assignee: Th. Goldschmidt AG
    Inventors: Hans-Joachim Kollmeier, Gerd Rossmy
  • Patent number: 4139503
Abstract: A process for the production of high resilience, open celled polyurethane foams which do not shrink in storage using conventional and readily available polyisocyanates and polyoxyalkylene polyols wherein from 0.01 to 2.0 g/100 g of polyol of specific siloxane components are added to the foaming charge. Foams produced by the process are also disclosed.

Date of Patent: February 13, 1979
    Assignee: Th. Goldschmidt AG
    Inventors: Hans-Joachim Kollmeier, Gerd Rossmy
  • Patent number: 4098729

The crystalline polyhydroxy compound is insoluble or only slightly soluble in the polyl to be foamed and melts within the temperature range of about 60 - 160.degree. C. The amount of crystalline polyhydroxy compound to be used corresponds to about 0.1 - 5.0 hydroxy equivalent weights per 1 hydroxy equivalent weight of the polyol to be foamed. Additionally, a compound that breaks down the association of water molecules can be added.
