  • Patent number: 5462427
Abstract: A rotary tablet press has upper rams (18) and lower rams (19) which are sealed off from the mould shelf (15) of the press by respective intermediate walls (28) in which all the rams (18,19 respectively) are clamped at their head ends to the free ends of individual sleeves (45), with the other ends of these sleeves being secured to the edges (44) of circular apertures (43) formed in the intermediate walls. These circular apertures (43) surrounding the ram shanks (20) with a spacing, so that the intermediate walls (28) are not stretched when the rams (18 and 19) carry out upward and downward movements.

  • Patent number: 4840145
Abstract: A process and a device for cleaning inner or outer walls of vertically extending or inverted tubes of heat exchangers and especially for cleaning tubes in trash incinerators. The process involves imparting kinetic energy to the tubes in an axial direction and then suddenly stopping the tubes to shake loose dirt and the like. The device for the process includes arranging a plurality of rows of vertically extending tubes such that the tubes move upwardly and downwardly in the direction of the axis of the tubes. The tubes advantageously include their own lower distributors and upper headers. These distributors and/or headers rest on a movable cam or cam plate which, for example, may be rotated so that a radially extending offset of the shoulder of the cam permits the cam to lift the upper headers upwardly to a height at which point they are suddenly dropped.

  • Patent number: 4768445
Abstract: A waste incinerator, especially for waste products from the chemical industry, comprising a horizontal, stationary or revolving, combustion chamber, and a vertical, brick lined afterburning chamber with circular cross section. The steel casing of the afterburning chamber is supported on an exterior furnace framework by means of a supporting ring on the chamber above the burner supported on a horizontal supporting frame. An upper steel casing segment of the afterburning chamber is separated from a lower steel casing segment above the entrance of the horizontal combustion chamber by a separating joint. The afterburing chamber above the joint is suspended by a supporting ring engaged over a horizontal frame of the furnace framework. The joint is spanned by a compensator.

  • Patent number: 4611434
Abstract: A swingable sliding door for a vehicle, comprising a guide assembly on the top of the door traveling in a guide rail arranged above the door, the guide assembly comprising a swing arm pivotally attached to the door and including an arcuate, reversely bent portion connected rigidly to a roller assembly which travels in the guide rail. The bent portion of the swing arm straddles an end post of the door opening when the door is in open position to maximize the access opening when the door is fully opened.

  • Patent number: 4569650
Abstract: A tablet press with a mould table and with multi-part rams whose movable ram parts slide along a stationary ram part having an internal hollow space connectable periodically to a suction device which removes, by suction mouldable material, dust which has penetrated in the interior of the movable ram, thus preventing the ram from being blocked with multiple material dust and making frequent cleaning and servicing of rams necessary.

  • Patent number: 4270316
Abstract: In conventional polishing machines, uneven transmission of pressure causes ifferent degrees of abrasion of the polished discs which results in different thicknesses over one disc and also with respect to other discs in one polishing batch. This problem is solved according to the invention by the provision of soft elastic inserts between the pressure piston and the back of the carrier plate on which the discs to be polished are cemented.
