A shared control channel information element (501) is sent to the group of mobile stations (101) and provides a bitmap having fields for group ordering (511), resource allocations (530), failure handling resources (540), and an ordering pattern (513). If a mobile station fails to decode the shared control channel information element (501) it will access the failure handling resources in order to receive data. The failure handling channel may be persistent in some embodiments, or may be released after the mobile station is once again able to decode the shared control channel information element (501) and thereby share in the shared resource pool allocated to its mobile station group.

The UE further receives a first uplink grant from a first network node, and obtains a buffer status intended for a second network node. Upon enabling cross-node buffer status reporting according to the configuration, the UE transmits, in the first uplink grant to the first network node, the buffer status intended for the second network node. The first network node receives, from the UE, the buffer status intended for the second network node, and determines whether to forward the buffer status to the second network node according to the configuration regarding buffer status forwarding previously received at the first network node.

To facilitate the handover, the present serving base station commands the mobile communication device to take measurements of surrounding cells of the second communication network. The measurements are sent along with a handover request from the serving base station to a radio network controller of the second network, which decides upon a cell to which the cal will be handed. A grant message including an identifier to be used by the mobile communication device and an identifier of the base station receiving the handover is transmitted back to the first network, and used by the mobile communication device in handing over the call.

A search servlet on a single search server uses an ordered series of filter methods to progressively extract specific aspects of user intent from a freeform search query, and accumulate intent information within a context shared by all filters. The single search system determines a data corpus to search based on context provided in a user search query. Relevant search results are returned to the single search client in a search response.
