  • Publication number: 20150231463
Abstract: A ball bat comprising an elongated support piece, a first elongated wood piece and a second elongated wood piece. The elongated support piece has an elongated upper surface and an elongated lower surface opposite to the elongated upper surface. The elongated support piece has plural radial bores aligned axially and spaced from each other. The elongated upper surface of the elongated support piece faces upwards and is attached to the first elongated wood piece, and the elongated lower surface of the elongated support piece faces downwards and is attached to the second elongated wood piece, so that the elongated support piece is embedded and fixed between the first and the second elongated wood piece. The overall weight of the ball bat and its center of gravity can be adjusted according to the number and allocation of the radial bores.

  • Publication number: 20140274496
Abstract: In one instance, the disclosure is a multilayered ball bat comprising multiple sheets of wood or other material. The sheets of wood can be uniform in thickness and are bonded together with adhesive. The sheets can also be made of fiberglass-reinforced wood. The sheets run the length of the bat, from the end-cap to the knob. The sheets are planar and run parallel to each other. Each sheet has two terminal sides. When the sheets are bonded together, the terminal sides form the hitting surfaces of the ball bat. The ball bat can also have multiple layers of different varieties of wood, with a less dense wood making up the top and bottom layers of the ball bat and a denser wood making up the middle layer of the ball bat. By using multiple sheets of uniform thickness, the ball bat is more break-resistant with an acceptable weight for swinging.

  • Publication number: 20060229148
Abstract: A breaking resistive bat structure, it is provided therein with a reinforcing rib to increase the strength of the bat and to avoid the bat from breaking. The bat comprises a holding portion, a hitting portion and a gradual slimmer area connecting between the holding portion and the hitting portion; wherein the gradual slimmer area and the holding portion are commonly provided therein with an elongate receiving space. The reinforcing rib is received in the elongate receiving space to increase the strength of the gradual slimmer area and the holding portion of the bat to avoid the bat from breaking.

  • Publication number: 20040053716
Abstract: An improved bat structure has at least a PU casting hi-rebound annular hollow member in the space interiorly of the inner wall of the hitting area of the bat and is clung to the inner wall of the hitting area. The annular hollow member can have the function of eliminating the vibration induced by collision between a ball and the bat when in hitting. And an instantaneous rebound force generated by the PU annular hollow member can also increase hitting power; furthermore, because of the fast restoration characteristic of the PU material in impacting, the deformation of the bat caused by long-term use will be reduced to help extend life-span of the bat.
