  • Patent number: 7367352
Abstract: The valve device consists, according to the invention, of (at least) two part valves which are symmetrical in circuit terms with respect to the existing connections and which are designed, in particular, as four-way, two position valves of any desired type of construction, but preferably are provided as slide valves. There is preferably a double slide valve with two cooperating slide valves. The valve device features internal seals and sealing surfaces which minimize wear and damage to the seals as they move across flow ports. The valve device is particularly adapted for use as a fuel control valve for an internal combustion powered motor vehicle having two separate fuel tanks. The valve device permits control over which tank supplies fuel to the engine, and allows controlled mixing of the fuels from each tank.

  • Patent number: 7354075
Abstract: An adapter assembly having an intermediate ring and a screw-in part for a fluid plug-in system. The adapter assembly includes an externally threaded portion for threading into a threaded bore and an actuating shoulder. A receiving groove is formed in the transition between the actuating shoulder and the externally threaded portion with a first sealing ring is disposed therein. The intermediate ring fits onto the externally threaded portion and has opposing axially spaced annular portions. A first annular portion cooperates with the receiving groove and the actuating shoulder to form a first sealing chamber for the first sealing ring. A second sealing seat of a second annular portion facing away from the actuating shoulder cooperates with a surrounding surface adjacent to the bore and the externally threaded portion to form a second sealing chamber for the second sealing ring axially spaced from the first sealing chamber.

  • Publication number: 20080014774
Abstract: A coupling device for tubes and/or pipes is claimed comprising two substantially identical plate-type coupling parts. Each coupling part has an even number of openings to receive inserted plug-in couplings configured as plug parts or socket parts. In one embodiment, the receiving openings for plug parts are arranged mirror-symmetrically across an axis of symmetry from the receiving openings for socket parts. The plug and socket parts are joined by first inserting and securing them into their respective receiving openings in the two coupling parts, then connecting the coupling parts. The coupling device may be attached to an opening in an installation wall, for example, the bulkhead of a motor vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20050037109
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for hydrolyzing protein-containing raw material into water soluble protein and other products. The apparatuses and methods comprise an optional collection or processing stage in which protein-containing raw material, such as fish or animal carcasses from food production plants, are collected and optionally processed. The raw material is then reacted with one or more enzymes to hydrolyze the protein present, after which the one or more enzymes are inactivated and the components separated. The processes and apparatuses, which can be run as a batch processes or, advantageously as a continuous processes, can yield water soluble protein, oils, bone meal and other products that have utility as food or food additives.

  • Publication number: 20040080157
Abstract: The present invention provides for a pipe fitting for a panel, especially for a panel of a lid for a container, as on a container wall. A pipe section protruding from the panel is provided wherein the front of the pipe fitting is fastened to the panel in the assembled state. A flange having a groove for a seal and a pipe socket extend from the pipe section for passing through an opening in the panel. The pipe socket forms a positive fit connection to the panel through deformation to the assembled state and the seal provides a non-positive fit against a surface of the panel.

  • Patent number: 6554323
Abstract: A socketless fitting for releasable connection of a pressurized line. The fitting has a housing body with a receiving opening to insert one end of the line, and an inner sleeve attached in the housing body in an arrangement that extends coaxially within the receiving opening for engagement into the inserted line end. The inner sleeve is fastened in the housing body media-tight around the periphery by a connector and preferably engages in the line media-tight around the periphery. A clamping element axially movable in the receiving opening cooperates with an inner surface of the housing body to secure the line end onto the inner sleeve. Media-tight outward sealing is accomplished by sealing engagement of the essentially rigidly secured inner sleeve in the line, because the inner sleeve itself is also tightly joined to the housing body.

  • Patent number: 6419281
Abstract: Plug-type connector for compression systems, having a housing part and a plug part. The plug part has a plug shaft that can be hermetically inserted into a receptacle opening of the housing part and releasably arrested by a retainer element. Retainer projections, elastically movable in the radial direction, seat the retainer element in an arrested position between an inner annular shoulder in the receptacle opening and an outer annular shoulder of the plug shaft. The retainer element on the plug shaft is axially displaceable between a safety position in which the retainer projections are blocked, and a release position in which the retainer projections are freed for radial release movement.

  • Patent number: 6027144
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pressure medium plug-in connector, consisting of two connector parts, i.e. a housing part (2) and a plug part (4), wherein the plug part (4) with a plug shaft (6), via at least one peripheral seal (10) located in an annular groove (14) of the one connector part (4) and interacting with a peripheral sealing surface (18) of the other connector part (2), can be inserted in a sealed manner into a receiving opening (8) of the housing part (2) and can be secured against release by means of a locking arrangement (12). The locking arrangement (12) is constructed in such a way that a partially plugged, prelocked position and a completely plugged, fully locked position are ensured. In the prelocked position, a seal is present which is so incomplete that, if pressure is applied with a pressure medium, a clearly limited perceptible leak, particularly in the form of an audible leaking sound, occurs.
