  • Patent number: 12659193
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a sensing device may transmit a first Layer 2 (L2) data packet that includes a Layer 2.5 (L2.5) frame. The sensing device may receive a second L2 data packet that includes a response to the L2.5 frame. Motion data indicating whether an object is moving may be generated based at least in part on a channel frequency response associated with receiving the second L2 data packet. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20250287444
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems and methods for provisioning resources in a wireless network. In some implementations, an apparatus obtains, from a first station (STA) on a first communication link associated with an access point (AP) multi-link device (MLD), a request for association all communication links of the AP MLD, and provisions either a single communication link or multiple communication links of the AP MLD for communications with the first STA based on at least one of a latency, a level of interference, or a traffic load associated with each of the communication links of the AP MLD. The apparatus generates a frame indicating whether the single communication link or the multiple communication links of the AP MLD are provisioned to the first STA for communications with the AP MLD, and outputs the frame for transmission to the first STA.

  • Publication number: 20250267649
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for provisioning resources for wireless communications. Some implementations more specifically relate to provisioning such resources based on a mapping of wireless communication devices to a number of time sectors that occur periodically and do not overlap other time sectors. In some aspects, each wireless stations (STAs) in a basic service set (BSS) may be mapped to a respective time sector based on attributes associated with the BSS so that communications between a STA and its associated access point (AP) can only occur within the respective time sector(s) to which the STA is mapped. In some other aspects, each AP in a multi-AP environment may be mapped to a respective time sector based on attributes associated with the multi-AP environment so that communications between an AP and its associated STAs can only occur within the respective time sector(s) to which the AP is mapped.

  • Publication number: 20250184807
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for provisioning resources for wireless communication. Some implementations more specifically relate to provisioning resources based on link state discriminants (LSDs). In some aspects, an LSD may indicate an average amount of time a respective station (STA) is in an awake state. In such aspects, an access point (AP) may prioritize communication with specific STAs, or over specific links, based on the LSDs. In some other aspects, an LSD may indicate an average amount of time all STAs associated with an AP are in an awake state. In such aspects, the AP may dynamically reduce power consumption based on the LSDs. Still further, in some aspects, an LSD may indicate an average amount of time two or more STAs are concurrently in an awake state on a given link. In such aspects, an AP may assign STAs to multi-user groups based on the LSDs.

  • Publication number: 20240098549
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure allow for improving E2E mesh throughput by applying transmission (TX) biasing on the Wi-Fi mesh backhaul. Aspects of the disclosure are directed to solutions for reducing traffic load in Wi-Fi mesh networks by applying TX biasing on the Wi-Fi mesh backhaul. Certain aspects are directed to selectively transmitting or preventing transmission of data over the first backhaul link to the first MLD based at least in part on a fronthaul airtime utilization, a first backhaul airtime utilization, or a second backhaul airtime utilization. Doing so allows a root access point or a network controller to apply TX biasing between multi-link operation links towards each repeater so that traffic load on a backhaul-link would not overly occupy the front-haul link because of common channel use by selectively transmitting or preventing transmission of data on the backhaul links.
