  • Patent number: 9716979
Abstract: A system and method for determining the location of nodes within a network. Beamforming coefficients associated with signals transmitted from a first node to a second node are determined and, based on the beamforming coefficients, direction is determined between the first and second nodes. • Publication number: 20170145989
Abstract: Systems and methods for controlling operation of one or more auxiliary circuits in a wind turbine system are provided. For instance, a grid event associated with the wind turbine system can be detected. In response to the grid event, a control signal can be provided to an auxiliary circuit breaker of the wind turbine system. The auxiliary circuit breaker can be associated with one or more auxiliary circuits that are not directly in a power production path of the wind turbine system. The auxiliary circuit breaker can disconnect the one or more auxiliary circuits from the grid based at least in part on the control signal.

  • Publication number: 20170124247
Abstract: In some embodiments, data is received defining a plurality of shot groups that will be delivered by a charged particle beam writer during an overall time period, where a first shot group will be delivered onto a first designated area at a first time period. A temperature of the first designated area at a different time period is determined. In some embodiments, the different time period is when secondary effects of exposure from a second shot group are received at the first designated area. In some embodiments, transient temperatures of a target designated area are determined at time periods when exposure from a shot group is received. An effective temperature of the target area is determined, using the transient temperatures and applying a compensation factor based on an amount of exposure received during that time period. A shot in the target shot group is modified based on the effective temperature.

  • Patent number: 9444448
Abstract: High performance gate drives and methods for driving semiconductor switching elements, such as insulated gate bipolar transistors (IGBTs), are provided. The gate drive can control the voltage applied to the gate of the IGBT to one or more intermediate voltages near the threshold voltage of the IGBT to control dv/dt of the collector-emitter voltage during and the di/dt of the collector current turn off. For instance, a voltage level between the turn on voltage and the turn off voltage can be applied for a first time period to control dv/dt of the collector-emitter voltage and di/dt of the collector current during turn off. Another voltage level between the turn on voltage and the turn off voltage can be applied for a second time period during reverse recovery of a freewheeling diode coupled in parallel with the IGBT.

  • Publication number: 20160015492
Abstract: The power toothbrush includes a brushhead arm (36) and a brush element (38) at a distal end thereof. A V-spring assembly (14) converts the movement of a power drive assembly in a back-and-forth movement. A mounting member (55) at the rear end of the V-spring assembly provides a base for a magnet (56). The back end of the V-spring assembly is displaced in accordance with pressure applied to the brush member. A Hall effect sensor (58) is mounted within the changing magnetic field produced by the magnet as the rear end of the V-spring assembly is displaced due to pressure on the brushhead. A processor (65) is responsive to the output from the Hall sensor and provides an indication when the pressure exceeds a threshold value.
