  • Patent number: 6038121
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a monolithic capacitor for reducing an equivalent series inductance of a monolithic capacitor. The external terminal electrodes are respectively provided on four corners of the capacitor body. External terminal electrodes can also be provided on the side surfaces of the capacitor body. The first inner electrode is connected to two adjacent external corner terminal electrodes and preferably to the external side terminal electrode. The second inner electrode faces the first electrode through a dielectric layer and is connected to other two adjacent external corner terminal electrodes as well as to the external side terminal electrode. The current flowing through the inner electrodes is directed to a variety of directions, and since the current flow in the corner parts of the inner electrodes is smooth, the magnetic fluxes generated in association with the current are cancelled out, thereby reducing the equivalent series inductance.

  • Patent number: 5424093
Abstract: A thick layer of electrode material paint is formed on a flat surface. A film of the electrode material paint is formed on an element by dipping the element into the layer. In the next step, a thinner layer of the electrode material paint than the aforementioned layer is formed on a flat surface. Into the thinner layer of the electrode material paint, the film of the electrode material paint formed on the element is dipped. Alternatively, the element may first be dipped into a thinner layer of the electrode material paint so that a thin film of the electrode material paint is formed on the element. The film formed on the element is then dipped into a thick layer of the electrode material paint and then again into a thin layer of the electrode material paint in such order. By firing the film of the electrode material paint obtained in this manner, an electronic element having external electrodes of a uniform thickness can be obtained.

  • Patent number: 4497103
Abstract: The invention provides a novel method for manufacturing a heat insulating sash bar for window frame constructed with two oppositely positioned metal-made face members, one facing inside of the room and the other facing outside of the room, connected together only with a connecting member of a heat insulating material and not with any metal-made part to ensure heat insulation between the two face members.

  • Patent number: 4455800
Abstract: A thermally insulating sash frame member comprising a pair of spaced interior and exterior metallic bars interconnected by a thermally insulating connector bar. The connector bar includes an elongate main body made of rigid thermally-insulating material and four pad portions made of soft thermally-insulating material, each pad portion extending on and along the main body through its length. The connector bar is gripped at opposite sides by two pair of gripping flanges of the interior and exterior bars, each of the gripping flanges being forced or bent against a respective one of the pad portions.

  • Patent number: 4307129
Abstract: A method for encasing an electric component of a type comprising a body and at least one pair of lead wires extending outwardly therefrom in the same direction. An outer protective coating or casing enclosing the body therein is formed by dipping the electric component into a solution of chlorinated hydrocarbon containing either a chained aliphatic hydrocarbon or a higher fatty acid to form a film covering the entire surface of the body and the surfaces of portions of the lead wires adjacent the body, then dipping the electric component into a solvent to remove the film except for that covering the surface of a portion of the body adjacent the lead wires and also that covering the surfaces of that portions of the lead wires, and finally dipping the electric component into a coating solution.

  • Patent number: 4282631
Abstract: A tiltable roller assembly attachable to a door or window sash includes an attachment frame mountable on the door or window sash, a tilt frame loosely mounted in the attachment frame and tiltable in a first direction, a roller frame pivotally mounted on the tilt frame, and a roller rotatably supported on the roller frame. A pair of spaced blocks are mounted in said tilt frame, with the roller frame disposed between the spaced blocks, and there is an adjustment screw threadedly extending through a selected one of the blocks into abutting engagement with the roller frame. The roller frame is pivotably adjustable relatively to the second frame in a second direction transverse to the first direction, in response to turning of the adjustment screw. The attachment frame includes a pair of spaced sidewalls between which the tilt frame is disposed, there being spring means acting between one of the sidewalls and the spaced blocks and normally urging the tilt frame against the other sidewall.

  • Patent number: 4052212
Abstract: Cyan couplers of the 2-equivalent type, useful in photography are described. These compounds are characterized in that they have at least one divalent group of the formula, --OCH.sub.2 CO--, in the molecule with a split-off group at the methoxy site of said divalent radical. Photographic materials and color developers incorporating these couplers are also described.
