  • Publication number: 20050043084
Abstract: A first, a second, and a third reel units consist of an inner and an outer reels respectively. A symbol “target” disposed in the outer reel forms a composite symbol by overlaying the symbol “target” on the symbol in the inner reel. The symbol “target” is related to win. When a normal game is started, the inner reel rotates in a normal direction, and the outer reel starts to rotate in the normal and a reverse directions in order to fluctuate the symbol “target” between an upper and an lower portions of a display window. Thereafter, the inner reel stops, and then the outer reel stops after a predetermined time. The player wins the game when the same symbols are aligned in a row in winning lines, or when the same composite symbol is displayed in the first, the second, and the third lines respectively.

  • Patent number: 6855056
Abstract: First-third light emission parts, wherein plural LEDs are disposed, are provided in front surface of a first display plate. Synchronized with the rotation of the first display plate, the LEDs in the light emission part light on and off to display symbols or images by utilizing afterimage effect. When the first display plate stops rotation, the first-third light emission parts are lighted on and off sequentially. When one of the first to third light emission parts is lighted on, an amount of dividend coins is determined by the numbers on a second display indicated by the lighted light emission part and a fixed indicator. Thus, the LEDs in the light emission part are used not only as image display device but as an indicator.

  • Publication number: 20040183251
Abstract: Transparent blank symbols are disposed on each of first, second and third display parts respectively provided in first, second and third display plates. The player wins if the same symbols of the first to third display parts are arranged in line on any of winning lines when the first to third display plates stop rotating. When the blank symbols of the first to third display parts are arranged in line on any of winning lines, the reel mounting plate starts rotating until the sub reel reaches the position behind the blank symbols. Then, the sub reel rotates and stops to display move and stop of the symbols. The symbol on the sub reel is observable through transparent parts in the blank symbols.

  • Patent number: 6726204
Abstract: In a game machine, a reel unit is disposed behind each display window. The reel unit has an outer reel and an inner reel which coaxially rotate. The inner reel carries plural inner symbols at a certain pitch. The outer reel carries plural but less outer symbols. The outer symbol has a larger size than the inner symbol, and is opaque. The outer symbol on the inner symbol hides the inner symbol. A symbol combination is formed of only plural inner symbols, or at least one of the inner symbols and at least one of the outer symbols.

  • Publication number: 20040038726
Abstract: A symbol display apparatus for game machine includes lined up plural reel units. Each reel unit has double reel structure composed of an outer reel and an inner reel. Inside the inner reel, backlights are disposed. Peripheries of the outer and inner reels are so colored lightly as to be semitransparent, so the outer and inner reels make an object disposed inside indistinct but transmit light. Inner symbols arranged on the periphery of the inner reel are printed with light color. When the inner and outer symbols are overlapped, the backlight emits white light. Color of the inner symbol illuminated with the white light does not affect adversely to appearance of the outer symbol. When the inner symbol is displayed through a transparent portion provided in the outer reel, the backlight emits light color of which is correspondent to the inner symbol for displaying the inner symbol emphatically and clearly.

  • Publication number: 20040036218
Abstract: A first symbol and a second symbol constituting a composition symbol “horse” are arranged on an inner reel and an outer reel respectively. When the outer reel is rotated and it is determined to display the composition symbol, the inner reels of first though third reel units are stopped so as to align the first symbols at a reference position, which is set relative to a central game line. After that, the outer reels of the first through third reel units are rotated and are stopped so as to align the second symbols on the central game line. When aligning the composition symbols “horse” on the central game line, the inner reel is rotated by a predetermined angle in forward and backward directions. This operation is carried out prescribed times to perform dynamic attraction in that pupil of the horse is changed.

  • Publication number: 20040026854
Abstract: A symbol display apparatus for game machine includes aligned plural reel units. Each of the reel units has double reel structure composed of an outer reel and an inner reel. Of two half symbols made by dividing a single complete symbol, one half symbol is disposed in a periphery of the inner reel, and the other half symbol is disposed in a periphery of the outer reel. When the corresponding half symbols disposed separately in the inner and outer reels stop together on the same winning line, a composite symbol is formed. The composite symbol is used as a hit symbol which makes up a winning symbol combination.

  • Publication number: 20040018866
Abstract: A symbol display device includes a first rotary disk with a small diameter and a second rotary disk with a large diameter, which rotate independently while overlapping with each other. A driving shaft, which is firmly fixed to the center of the first rotary disk, is penetrating a hole formed at the center of the second rotary disk. A plate-shaped flange is fixed to the second rotary disk so as to fill in the hole. A driving pipe is firmly fixed to the flange, and the driving shaft is rotatably inserted in the driving pipe. A first stepping motor is connected to the rear end of the driving shaft protruding from the driving pipe, to which a large pulley is firmly fixed. A small pulley is fixed to the driving shaft of a second stepping motor. Rotation of the second stepping motor is transmitted to the second rotary disk through a timing belt.

  • Publication number: 20040017041
Abstract: A game machine is provided with first, second and third reel rows, and each of the reel rows executes slot game independent from each other. The number of reel rows to be actuated is increased in proportion to the number of bet coins. When less than three coins are betted, a first privilege providing section is operated to judge whether the first winning is generated. The first and a second privilege providing sections are operated to judge whether the first winning and a second winning are generated when four coins are betted. Dividend coins are provided in the first winning and a free game in the second winning. A player may play slot game without betting a coin in the free game.

  • Publication number: 20040014516
Abstract: Behind a display window, plural of reel units are disposed. Each of the reel units has an outer reel and an inner reel that are coaxially and independently rotated. The inner reel carries plural inner symbols at a predetermined pitch. The outer reel carries outer symbols representing conditions of a second rotation of the inner reel. The plural inner reels stop rotating to complete a symbol combination. When the symbol combination for losing is completed, the outer reel is rotated and stopped. Then the second rotation of the inner reel starts rotating, which carries the inner symbol on which the outer symbol is disposed. In the second rotation, a rotational direction and a rotational speed is determined in accordance with a kind of the outer symbol. When the second rotation of the inner reel stops, another symbol combination is completed on the winning line.

The reel unit is a double-reel, which consists of an inner reel and an outer reel rotating independently with overlapped. The inner reel and the outer reel carry plural symbols. Symbols of the inner reel are observable through the outer reel.
