Publication number: 20040041762Abstract: The invention provides a display apparatus having a temperature sensor and a step-up circuit generating a drive voltage of the display apparatus by stepping up a power source voltage. The temperature sensor provides temperature data indicative of the temperature of the display panel with a reduced measurement error without limiting the operation of the step-up circuit. To do so, in view of the fact that the step-up circuit has alternating active state in which the circuit is stepping up a source voltage to output a required step-up voltage and inactive state in which no stepping operation is made, the temperature sensor is adapted to obtain temperature data while the step-up circuit is inactive. The temperature data obtained is supplied to a temperature compensation means for changing the drive condition setting value that define the drive condition of the display panel to compensate for the temperature change.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 14, 2003Publication date: March 4, 2004Applicant: ROHM CO., LTD.Inventors: Takashi Naiki, Haruo Taguchi

Publication number: 20010045468Abstract: An IC card which can normally perform the next data communication processing if there is an abnormality in data communication is provided. When abnormality determination circuit 1 determines that the previous data reception state is normal, before newly received data to be held DA is stored in a data holding memory 2, IC card 100 saves data in a region to write data DA into a data protection memory 3. Meanwhile if abnormality determination circuit 1 determines that the previous data reception state is abnormal, data in data holding memory 2 is recovered using data which has been saved in data protection memory 3 before accessing to data holding memory 2 is started.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 1999Publication date: November 29, 2001Inventors: YOSHIHIRO IKEFUJI, SHIGEMI CHIMURA, HARUO TAGUCHI

Patent number: 4247748Abstract: There is disclosed a method for giving by electrical discharge machining a uniform satin finish to the roll surface of a work in roll form in a short period of time. To prevent the occurrence of any streaky pattern on the satin finish work surface, a plurality of divided electrodes, which are divided and arranged at predetermined spaces, are each fed traversely a distance corresponding to the electrode mounting pitch while maintaining the predetermined spacing between the electrodes. To improve the working efficiency, a plurality of rows of divided electrodes are provided, and by virtue of this improved working efficiency, the required satinizing electrical discharge machining of two or four rolls for use on a rolling mill can be completed within the life time of the satinized rolls being used on the rolling mill.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 1978Date of Patent: January 27, 1981Assignees: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki Kaisha, Nippon Kokan Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kunihiko Sato, Tetsuro Urata, Kobun Asakawa, Haruo Taguchi, Yukio Kato, Takeo Uebayashi

Patent number: 4230927Abstract: Disclosed are a process and apparatus for electrical discharge machining of the outer surface of a satinizing roll to produce a satin-like roughened surface of a uniform roughness. This electrical discharge machining process produces a uniform satin-like roughened surface on the outer surface at each end of the roll, and for this purpose the process involves a step of decreasing the discharge current in proportion to decrease in the area which is to be worked by an electrode located at the roll end and thereby maintaining the flow of current per unit area at a constant value. The apparatus for performing the process comprises position detecting-means for detecting that the electrode has been moved to the roll end, and means responsive to the output signal of the position detecting means to control the off-time of current pulse which causes a discharge between the electrode and the roll.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1978Date of Patent: October 28, 1980Assignees: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki Kaisha, Nippon Kokan Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kunihiko Sato, Tetsuro Urata, Tetsuhiro Asamoto, Kobun Asakawa, Takeo Uebayashi, Haruo Taguchi

Patent number: 4219718Abstract: Disclosed are a process and apparatus for subjecting the outer surface of a satinizing roll to electrical discharge machining to produce a satin-like roughened surface of a uniform roughness. With this electrical discharge machining process, the electrical discharge machining speed of a plurality of electrodes mounted on a plurality of head columns is held lower than a steady state working speed until the electrodes on all the head columns start discharging, and in response to the detection of the discharge of every electrode on the head columns the working speed is changed to the steady state working speed and the head columns are simultaneously moved traversely along the axis of rotation of a cylindrical work, thus preventing the occurrence of a difference in the depth of erosion or stepped portions on the surface of the work during the initial working period.Type: GrantFiled: June 30, 1978Date of Patent: August 26, 1980Assignees: Mitsubishi Denki Kabushiki Kaisha, Nippon Kokan Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kunihiko Sato, Tetsuro Urata, Tetsuhiro Asamoto, Kobun Asakawa, Takeo Uebayashi, Haruo Taguchi
