  • Patent number: 4444549
Abstract: A refrigerant compressor having pistons reciprocated in respective cylinders by a wobble plate driven by an input rotor which is secured on a drive shaft, in which improved refrigerant gas flow within the housing is achieved. A balance hole is provided for returning the blow-by gas, which is leaked from the cylinders through the gaps between the cylinders and pistons to the crank chamber, to the compressor suction chamber from the crank chamber. The balance hole comprises a first fluid passageway formed in a front end plate and a second fluid passageway connected between the first fluid passageway and the suction chamber. One end of the first fluid passageway opens into a hollow portion formed on a axial end surface of the input rotor. The rotor is formed with at least one opening at its outer peripheral surface which communicates between the crank chamber and the hollow portion.

  • Patent number: 4283997
Abstract: A refrigerant compressor unit which includes a balance hole communicating between the crank chamber and the suction chamber for returning blow-by gas in the crank chamber to the suction chamber. The unit is provided with an oil collecting zone within the discharge chamber and has an oil accumulating chamber formed on a lower portion of the cylinder head. Oil mixed with compressed refrigerant gas within the discharge chamber adheres the inner surface of the discharge chamber and flows into the collecting zone. The collected oil is accumulated in the accumulating chamber and returns to the crank chamber through an oil passageway between the accumulating chamber and the crank chamber, thereby reducing the oil leakage into the refrigerant circulating system.

  • Patent number: 4126128
Abstract: A home-use device for promoting health by stimulating thermally the autonomic nervous system, which consists of a head attached to a handle, the head comprises positive characteristic thermistor heaters, a heat conducting path intervened with heat barrier films, and skin contacting elements attached to the underside of the heat conducting path. The heat capacity of the head is determined to allow the temperature of the skin contacting elements to be somewhat higher than the temperature required for mild moxibustion, and the number of heat barrier films in the heat conducting path is adjusted to restrict the heat flow from the thermistor heaters to an amount to nearly compensate the lost heat by conduction from the skin contacting elements to the skin of a human body. Thus, the device can automatically attain to the required temperature for mild moxibustion on contacting to the skin.

  • Patent number: 4096700
Abstract: An oil boom is disclosed which comprises two rows of upper and lower stream side; a flexible base sheet connected across base portions of the two rows of floats and hanging down therefrom into the water in a gently curved shape. A plurality of inlet openings are arranged near the upper stream side float and extending in its lengthwise direction; an inflow guide plate made integral with the flexible base sheet and arranged below the inlet openings. A plurality of outlet openings are arranged in a rear portion of the flexible base sheet and extending in its lengthwise direction, the total opening area of the outlet openings per unit length of the flexible base sheet being larger than that of the inlet openings. Thus the oil boom may be utilized not only to dam and collect and oil slick floating on water, but also as an oil collecting region to separate the oil slick from the water.
