  • Patent number: 6783439
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a mirror surface tube for a photosensitive drum of a copying machine or the like, by which an external surface of an aluminium or aluminium alloy tube can be mirror-processed with high accuracy without surface defects, and in such a way that good quality required for a photosensitive drum is ensured and dimension accuracy, such as roundness, and production yield is improved involves a first step in which an aluminium or aluminium alloy tube, finished in a predetermined shape and dimension with surface roughness of 10 microns or less, is processed by a centerless grinding process. Then, in a second step, a grinding process is performed using an electrolytic integrated polishing apparatus including a tool electrode mechanism having an elastic grindstone so as to make a mirror surface tube having the surface roughness of 2.0 microns or less. Further, preferably, in a third stage, a roller burnishing process is performed to finish the tube to a surface roughness of 0.5 microns or less.

  • Patent number: 6784938
Abstract: An electronic camera of the present invention includes a CCD, a diaphragm, an EEPROM, and a CPU. The CCD has a condenser micro-lens opposed to a light receptor. The diameter of the diaphragm is variable in relation to a plurality of f-numbers. In the EEPROM, data items of outputs of the CCD associated with the plurality of f-numbers or ratios of the outputs are stored in advance. The CPU calculates an exposure time according to an output of the CCD associated with a given f-number, controls exposure, and corrects an exposure time according to data stored in the EEPROM during recording.

  • Patent number: 6782717
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a disk-like glass substrate that is used as an information recording medium. The glass substrate is acid resistant. When an index of acid resistance is the maximum depth at which components other than silica dissolve from the glass substrate during immersion of the glass substrate in 1 percentage of weight of sulfuric acid, the acid resistance of the glass substrate is represented by the maximum depth of 0.5 nm to 10 nm. A linear texture is formed by pressing a tape against the glass substrate in a circumferential direction of the glass substrate while feeding abrasion slurry to the surface of the glass substrate. Acid treatment is performed on the glass substrate on which the texture is formed.

  • Publication number: 20040164878
Abstract: Rotary electronic component of the invention has a contact board and an elastic contact. The contact board, including an annular contact having an arc-segmental portion split by a slit with a predetermined width and signaling contacts disposed at spaced positions and in electrical continuation with the arc-segmental portion, is fixed in a resin molding with the annular contact exposed on the top plane of the resin molding. The elastic contact slides on the contact board along the annular contact. In this rotary electronic component, a stress occurring when the annular contact is fixed by molding on to the contact board is relaxed owing to presence of the slit. Thus, a rotary electronic component generating an electric signal with a stabilized waveform over a long time can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20040165994
Abstract: A control valve includes a separation portion, which is part of a rod, blocks a through hole that connects a valve chamber and a second chamber with each other. Therefore, the pressure of the second chamber is not directly affected by changes in the opening degree of the control valve. The second chamber and a valve hole forming a part of the through hole are both connected to a second pressure zone through an upstream section of a supply passage. This prevents creation of pressure difference between the valve hole and the second chamber, and thus prevents entry of foreign particles in sliding portions between the through hole and the rod.

  • Publication number: 20040167414
Abstract: A sensor is pressurized adjustably against a patient's wrist and detects a pressurized pulse wave of a radial artery in a noninvasive manner so as to measure blood pressure on an arm band wound around the patient's predetermined portion. A CPU calculates indices reflecting a reflecting phenomenon of a pulse wave as organism information different from the blood pressure based on the detected pulse waveform, and relates the measured blood pressure value with calculated indices so as to display them on an indicator. A doctor checks displayed contents so as to clearly understand a state of a circulatory system represented by a correlation between the patient's blood pressure and the indices so as to be capable of obtaining information which supports a diagnosis and prescription quickly.
