By assigning a predetermined interval of a bit stream corresponding to a program as a thumbnail, the recording medium having the thumbnail thereon, that can be reproduced as moving pictures, can be obtained.

Thus, even where the SCR value at the boundary between merged bit streams rapidly changes when the merged bit stream is reproduced, seamless reproduction is accomplished. Abstract: An automatic AV synchronization adjusting method and apparatus to automatically adjust a synchronization error between a video signal and an audio signal generated in an AV system. The method includes: generating video and audio test signals; measuring an audio delay amount from when the audio test signal is generated to when the audio is output form a speaker; measuring an video delay amount from when the video test signal is generated to when the video is displayed on a display device; determining a final audio delay amount by subtracting the audio delay amount from the video delay amount; and adjusting a delay of an audio signal generated by an AV source device based on the determined audio delay amount.

Abstract: A spatial multiplexing detection device using a MIMO technology comprises a MIMO detector for detecting receive symbols which correspond to symbols transmitted through transmit antennas from receive signals when the transmit data transmitted by the terminal group are received through receive antennas; a terminal identifier for identifying the receive symbols detected by the MIMO detector into symbols which correspond to respective terminals in the terminal group; a symbol demapper for demapping the receive symbols identified by the terminal identifier to binary data which correspond to a modulation method used by the terminal group; and a reverse data processor for performing deinterleaving, decoding of error correction codes, and descrambling on the binary data demapped by the symbol demapper, and detecting receive data of the respective terminals.

Abstract: Simulation of electromagnetic characteristics of an electrical circuit uses netlist data defining component instances, including layout component instances, and their topological interconnection in an electrical circuit. A circuit simulation is performed using the netlist data, involving use of a model for each said layout component instance. An attempt is made to retrieve an existing simulation model of the layout component instance from a database of such layout component simulation models. If no suitable simulation model can be found in the database, an attempt is made to interpolate a new simulation model from among existing simulation models in the database. If interpolation is determined not to be feasible, then an electromagnetic simulation of the layout component instance is performed to develop a new electromagnetic simulation model. This new model is used in the circuit simulation, and added to the database for future use.
