Abstract: A method for manufacturing a fiber assembly for providing a binding surface to a bio-substance is provided. A fiber assembly for providing a binding surface to a bio-substance according to an embodiment of the present invention is manufactured by a method comprising the steps of: (1) preparing a fiber assembly in which a plurality of fibers is accumulated; and (2) performing modification to provide the fiber surface with a carboxyl group reactive to an amine group present in a bio-substance. According to the method, a bio-substance can be easily introduced at a high content into the fiber assembly. In addition, bio-substances that are conjugated therebetween and adsorbed through physical adsorption, etc. are remarkably reduced in the introduction procedure of bio-substances, whereby bio-substances can be availed with high precision and reliability in applications employing bio-substances.

  • Publication number: 20220340852
Abstract: Provided is a cell culture sheet. A cell culture sheet according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a fiber web which has a 3-dimensional network structure formed through the accumulation of support fibers having an average diameter of at most 1.5 ?m, and has a basis weight of 1 to 15 g/m2; and a functional coating layer which is coated on the support fibers exposed on at least one surface of the fiber web, and has a function of promoting one or more of the adhesion, movement, proliferation, and differentiation of cells. Accordingly, cell adhesion is improved due to the large specific surface area and the surface morphology suitable for cells, and the adhered cells are stably supported. Moreover, the cells can be cultured at high density at a high culture efficiency, and can be cultured and recovered without agglomeration caused by forming a thin film.

  • Publication number: 20220002651
Abstract: Provided is a cell culture sheet for a large-capacity incubator. A cell culture sheet according to one embodiment of the present invention is a cell culture sheet provided in a large-capacity incubator having a plurality of sheets disposed to be spaced apart at predetermined intervals therein, wherein the cell culture sheet has an area of 100 cm2 or more and a bending depth of 0.5 cm or less. As such, even when the culture sheets are closely placed in a limited volume of space, there is little sagging or shape deformation in a specific direction to prevent the occurrence of contact with adjacent culture sheets, thereby preventing a decrease in cell culture volume due to a dead space. Furthermore, since the flow of a cell culture fluid due to the occurrence of contact can be minimized or prevented, a large capacity of cells can be stably and smoothly cultivated such that the cell culture sheet is very suitable for a large-capacity incubator and can be widely applied to the cell culture industry.

  • Patent number: 10905107
Abstract: The present invention relates to a mouse (Mus musculus) in which expression and site-specific modification of a target protein is temporally and spatially controlled, and a method for producing the same and the use thereof, and more particularly to a transgenic mouse in which expression of a target protein having a modification attached to a specific position is temporally and spatially controlled as a result of incorporation of an unnatural amino acid. In the mouse according to the present invention, in which site-specific modification of a target protein is temporally and spatially controllable, expression of the target protein having the site-specific modification attached thereto is controllable depending on the timing and/or position of introduction of an unnatural amino acid. Thus, the mouse according to the present invention is useful for studies on the in vivo functions of cellular proteins, various human diseases including cancers and neurodegenerative disorders, new drug discovery, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20200385742
Abstract: Nucleic acids encoding mutant elongation factor proteins (EF-Sep), phosphoseryl-tRNA synthetase (SepRS), and phosphoseryl-tRNA (tRNASep) and methods of use in site specific incorporation of phosphoserine into & protein or polypeptide are described. Typically, SepRS preferentially aminoacylates tRNASepwith O-phosphoserine and the tRNASep recognizes at least one codon such as a stop codon. Due to the negative charge of the phosphoserine, Sep-tRNASep does not bind elongation factor Tu (EF-Tu). However, mutant EF-Sep proteins are disclosed that bind Sep-tRNASep and protect Sep-tRNASep from deacylation. In a preferred embodiment the nucleic acids are on vectors and are expressed in cells such as bacterial cells, archeaebacterial cells, and eukaryotic cells.
