  • Patent number: 9004856
Abstract: An inlet connection piece for an axial compressor, particularly for a turbocompressor, includes an inlet housing (1) in which is arranged a bearing housing (2) with a bearing (3), particularly a radial and/or axial bearing, for a rotor. The bearing housing (2) is connected to the inlet housing (1) by an inlet strut (4) which is connected to the inlet housing in a front cross section. The center of the bearing (3) is arranged axially in the flow direction of a fluid to be compressed behind the area center of the front cross section by at least 0.1-times, particularly at least 0.15-times, particularly at least 0.2-times, particularly at least 0.25-times, the chord length of the front cross section. In addition or alternatively, a fluid passage (5, 6) is formed in the inlet strut (4), and at least portions of this fluid passage (5, 6) form an acute angle with a normal plane relative to the longitudinal axis of the inlet connection piece.

  • Patent number: 4786402
Abstract: Medicinal white oils and medicinal paraffins are prepared from petroleum fractions containing aromatics and nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur compounds, e.g. light and heavy atmospheric gas oils, vacuum gas oils and residues, which have been pretreated in a first stage by acid treatment or catalytic hydrogenation, by hydrogenation in a second stage over a nickel-containing catalyst under from 50 to 200 bar and at elevated temperatures, by a process in which the catalyst used in the second stage and present in the oxide form is reduced with a hydrogen-containing gas, passivated and then again activated with hydrogen, before the hydrogenation to medicinal white oils or paraffins is carried out.

  • Patent number: 4726304
Abstract: A seed drill has a frame, reservoirs, sowing shares, at least two separate inlets and outlets for two different materials, and a depth-guide or pressure roller behind each sowing share. Variable amounts of one material are conveyed to the forward outlet and of the other material to the rear outlet through separate conductors inside the sowing shares for application of the soil. The outlets are separated along the direction of travel. There is a narrow ripping structure on the forward edge of each sowing share to rip up the soil and produce a furrow. An expansion structure that extends down into the furrow is positioned in the vicinity of the rear outlet of each sowing share. The expansion structure is at least somewhat wider than the ripping structure. The bottom end of the expansion structure is higher than the bottom of the point of the ripping structure.

  • Patent number: 4694759
Abstract: A seed drill for applying seed and/or fertilizer has a frame, reservoir, and sowing shares. The sowing shares are attached to the frame in such a way that they can move in an upright plane by means of superimposed and at least approximately parallel struts on parallelogram mounts. To essentially improve the share mounts, allowing them to be employed on direct-sowing seed drills and especially on soils thickly set with entrenched stones or other obstacles and preventing damage to the shares or share mounts when the shares are laterally overstressed, at least one strut on a parallelogram mount is elastic.

  • Patent number: 4580507
Abstract: A drill for applying seed and fertilizer, with a frame, reservoirs, sowing shares with at least two separate inlets for seed and fertilizer, and a depth-adjustment or pressure roller mounted behind each share, in which the materials to be applied are conveyed in controlled amounts to the shares for application into the soil, in which the shares are connected to the frame with parallelogrammatic mounts and the depth to which the penetrate into the soil can be adjusted by means of a setting device. The drill can be used for zero tillage even on rocky soil to apply seed and fertilizer separately because the sowing share is a chisel share on which a chisel is mounted on the side facing the direction of travel. The chisel share has separate guides for seed and fertilizer inside its body. The outlets for these guides are separated in the direction of travel by a certain distance with the first outlet positioned as close as possible behind the chisel point.

  • Patent number: 4480948
Abstract: A machine for applying pellets and powder, especially micropellets, to the soil, incorporating, first, a reservoir with outlets, second, ridge wheels that are rotated by a drive shaft at varying rates and the distribute uniform volumes of the material flowing out of the reservoir through the outlets into exit pipes that communicate with a blower and that have outflow openings, and, third, base plates below the ridge wheels. To ensure uniform application of material that tends to clog up the ridge wheels the machine is provided with scrapers that are intended for cleaning the ridge wheels, that engage the depressions between the ridges, which are positioned one after the other in the sense of rotation, and that are appropriately constructed to scrape the depressions out.

  • Patent number: 4351481
Abstract: A centrifugal spreader (FIG. 1) for spreading granulated fertilizers has a funnel-shaped hopper, a discharge outlet in the lower portion of the hopper, and adjustor means for adjusting the size of and shutting off the outlet. A drivable agitator is disposed in the hopper, and spreading means 11 is disposed beneath the hopper for receiving fertilizer issuing from the outlet and spreading the fertilizer. The spreader 11 is releasably mounted on a drive shaft 16 and is exchangeable for a different spreading means. The spreader can be set in a position in which the distance (A) between the highest point of the spreader and the part of the hopper situated above said highest point as seen longitudinally of the drive shaft, is greater than the distance (B) between the lower edge of the fastening means 14 which releasably secures the spreader on the drive shaft, and the upper end of the drive shaft. Thereby removal of the spreader is facilitated.

  • Patent number: 4275670
Abstract: Seed drill (FIG. 1) having furrow openers 10 and accompanying press wheels 12 pivotally arranged on frame 1 by mounting means 3. A spring 18 is interposed between the frame and the furrow openers - press wheels. The bias of the spring can be adjusted by operation of the hydraulic cylinder 20, which can also be used to shift the furrow openers - press wheels between working position and the transport position. An adjusting means 14 is interposed between the frame and the furrow openers - press wheels. By operation of the adjusting means the level of a furrow openers relative to the level of the press wheels can be adjusted. The furrow openers - press wheels are arranged in transverse rows and the furrow openers - press wheels of each transverse row are ganged by shafts 22 so that only one of the mounting means in each transverse row need be outfitted with the spring 18 and hydraulic cylinder 20, and the adjusting means 14.
