  • Patent number: 4666972
Abstract: Polyalkylene terephthalates which contain a fluorinated polyolefin in addition to a polymer having a glass transition temperature of less than -30.degree. C., are very tough, exhibit good stability to thermal shaping and hardness, and have a high modulus of elasticity and improved stress/strain behavior.

  • Patent number: 4603170
Abstract: Thermoplastic moulding compounds obtained from: from 98 to 10 parts, by weight, of aromatic polycarbonates having an average molecular weight M.sub.w (by light scattering) of from 10,000 to 200,000; from 60 to 0 parts, by weight, of polyalkylene terephthalate; from 30 to 0 parts, by weight, of graft polymer of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers on a rubber; and from 90 to 2 parts, by weight, of a polyester of terephthalic acid and a diol containing at least one diaryl sulphone group in the molecule and, optionally, an aliphatic diol in addition.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 23, 1985

  • Patent number: 4573440
Abstract: In an externally ignited internal combustion engine for a vehicle with an electronic device for controlling the gas mixture composition and the point of ignition a leaner fuel-air mixture and the an earlier point of ignition is set before the maximum permissible speed is attained. The reduction of power of the combustion engine caused thereby shows the driver that the speed of the combustion engine approaches the maximum permissible speed at which the fuel supply and the ignition will be interrupted. This should cause the driver to release the gas pedal or switch into the next higher gear.

Date of Patent: March 4, 1986
Assignee: Audi NSU Auto Union Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Reiner Pischke, Karl-Heinz Kohler

  • Patent number: 4473686
Abstract: A block copolymer is produced fromI. 1 to 60% by weight of at least one telechelic diene polymer containing terminal carbonate ester, --OH--, --NH.sub.2 --, carboxylic acid or carboxylic acid ester groups and having a molecular weight M.sub.n of from about 400 to 1300, andII. 99 to 40% by weight of at least one polyamide or polyamide-forming component.

  • Patent number: 4382131
Abstract: Block copolyesters based on polyalkylene terephthalates which contain polyene blocks show an extremely low deformation even when they are processed into thin articles. They still have a crystallinity which is decreased by less than the ratio corresponding to the polyene portion.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4335599
Abstract: A reference signal corresponding to a predetermined state in the operation of a four-cycle internal combustion engine and especially an internal combustion engine with an odd number of cylinders, is produced by combining the pulses from a pulse generator responding to the position of the crankshaft and emitting an indicator signal with a signal generator, e.g. of the Hall generator type, which emits an H signal during a first angle range of the cam shaft which rotates at one half the speed of the crankshaft and a zero signal during the second angle range with the positions of the first angle range and the second angle range so selected that the indicator signal alternately appears during the H and zero signal. An AND gate receiving both sets of signals generates the reference signal at its output when the input is coincidentally triggered by both an indicator signal and an H signal.
