  • Patent number: 4410046
Abstract: The invention provides a device for regulating the tractive force in the lower linkage system of a tractor lifting gear which serves, for example, to hold a plough. The lower linkages on which the tractive resistance, acting on the plough, is exerted transmit the tractive force to a bending bar, the bending of which is recorded as a measurement of the tractive force. In accordance with the invention the bending bar is rigidly coupled to a bearing frame which is rigidly mounted on the tractor and which absorbs the force acting on the lower linkages while the bending bar is subjected to bending strain. This means that the lower linkages do not exert a force directly on the bending bar, and the bending bar can therefore be supported free from play.

  • Patent number: 4391032
Abstract: Method for manufacturing dynamic RAM one-transistor storage cells in a semiconductor chip with each cell having one integrated field effect transistor and one integrated capacitor. A semiconductor substrate surface is covered in part by a thin oxide layer and in part by a thick oxide structure. The thin oxide layer is subjected to a first ion implantation. A doped polycrystalline semiconductor material is deposited over the entire surface. The polycrystalline layer is structured by means of a photoresist mask and the underlying layers at the open places etched away to expose substrate surface. The mask is removed. A second thin oxide layer is created by oxidation over the entire surface. A second ion implantation implants ions in the second oxide layer. A second doped layer of polycrystalline material is deposited over the second layer. The second polycrystalline layer is structured by a suitable phototechnique to produce a polycrystalline structure semiconductor layer.

  • Patent number: 4330987
Abstract: A multi-spindle double twist twisting machine having a spindle frame in the form of a support plate that serves as a self-supporting sub-frame mountable alternatively in either a vertical or horizontal spindle machine and on which a plurality of spindle assembly mounting means are supported in two staggered rows. The support plate has side flanges to facilitate forming an enclosure around spindle assembly whorls and a belt drive assembly. A separator wall is mounted on the support plate between the rows of spindle assemblies and has ballooning yarn guides mounted thereon and extending over the spindle assemblies. The wall is extendable to adjust for yarn package sizes and operating conditions. The support plate may be formed in two portions with adjacent flanges for attaching the portions together and the wall may have an attaching flange for positioning between the adjacent flanges of the support plate portions to form an integral independent sub-frame.

  • Patent number: 4322994
Abstract: A profile-steel shear usable for cutting or punching profile-steel members has a pair of relatively fixed, spaced-apart, and parallel frame plates flanking a drive plate having a lower end edge engaging the upper end edge of a blade-type work plate. The outer faces of the drive and work plates are formed adjacent the abutting ends with grooves parallel to these abutting ends. U-shaped clips or elements each have one leg engaged in a respective groove of the drive plate and another leg engaged in a respective groove of the work plate so that these U-shaped elements secure the work and drive plates together for relative displacement by means of a hydraulic actuator normally situated atop the frame plates. These U-shaped elements are releasably retained on the work and drive plates with their legs in the respective grooves by means of screws engaged through them and with the work or drive plates.

  • Patent number: 4242942
Abstract: A hydraulic control arrangement with a feedback device for positioning an implement comprises a positioner including a fluid operated cylinder and piston unit, the piston of which is connected by a plurality of linkage elements to the implement. A first pump delivers through a pressure line fluid under pressure into the cylinder. A two-port three-position valve is interposed in the pressure line movable from a neutral position in which the fluid fed by the first pump is directed to a reservoir, to two operating positions to opposite sides of the neutral position, and in which one of the operating positions fluid fed by the first pump passes into the cylinder and in the other of the operating positions fluid from the cylinder can flow to the reservoir. A pair of pilot chambers are arranged at opposite ends of the valve for moving the latter from the neutral to either of the working positions. A second pump provides fluid under pressure for operating the valve.

  • Patent number: 4080655
Abstract: A system for the transformation of steering control signals from a plane cartesian coordinate system to a polar coordinate system is disclosed. The system is designed to be self-contained on board a missile. The system is synchronized with roll position, by virtue of a start pulse and generates pulse increments corresponding to increments of roll angle change. A digital counter counts pulses which are referenced to the missile. The counted pulses are supplied to read-only memories which are pre-programmed with sine and cosine information. A pair of digital-to-analog converters respond to the outputs of the memories. An appropriate Y or Z steering signal is supplied to the converters for multiplication. The outputs of the converters are summed and then supplied to the missile steering device. Means for taking into account the launch of a missile from a mobile launch site is disclosed.
