  • Patent number: 10365499
Abstract: The invention relates to an article (I) that in at least one region (2) consists of a transparent or translucent material, in particular of glass, wherein the article (I) comprises a dynamic moire pattern in the transparent or translucent region (2), and wherein the moire pattern comes about by superimposing at least two, preferably precisely two, laser-engraved grid structures (3), which at least in regions are visually separated from each other. The grid structures (3) are located: in different layers (4) inside the transparent or translucent region (2); or in at least one layer (4) inside and in a coating (5) of at least one surface of the transparent or translucent region (2); or in at least one first layer (4) inside the transparent or translucent region (2) and at least one second virtual layer (6) that is produced by reflecting the first layer (4) at a reflecting surface (7).

  • Patent number: 8960687
Abstract: The invention relates to a workholder (10) for holding a workpiece to be processed in a machine tool, which workholder (10) is in the form of a annular body (12) having a central through hole (14), said annular body (12) having at least one weakened area (18, 20; 34, 36, 38, 40; 50, 52, 54, 56) obtained by material removal, as well as at least one pressure chamber (22; 42, 44; 58, 60) assigned to said at least one weakened area (18, 20; 34, 36, 38, 40; 50, 52, 54, 56) that can be charged with a pressurized fluid. Said at least one weakened area (18, 20; 34, 36, 38, 40; 50, 52, 54, 56) is dimensioned and arranged so as to cause said annular body (12) to be elastically deformable in an axial and/or a radial direction (a, r). As a result, with pressure acting on said pressure chamber (22; 42, 44; 58, 60), said annular body (12) can then be deformed elastically in a well-defined manner in an axial and/or a radial direction (a, r).

  • Patent number: 8091725
Abstract: An anti-twist device for a sealing cap that is located on a fixed connecting piece of a motor vehicle radiator. The sealing cap comprises an external cap part with a grip element and a sealing element, which can be connected to a counter sealing element of the connecting piece and in relation to which the grip element can be rotated. The sealing cap also comprises an internal cap part comprising a valve assembly that is configured in an excess/negative pressure combination. An anti-twist stop acts in the external cap part between the grip element and the sealing element. An anti-twist device of this type has a no-load function instead of a locking function and yet has a simple construction and is easy to produce. To achieve this, the anti-twist stop can be actuated by means of a drive, which is controlled by the operating data in the container and is located inside said container in close proximity to the external cap part.

  • Publication number: 20070272690
Abstract: A sealing lid for a fixed nozzle of a container, particularly a motor vehicle radiator having a covering outer part and a covering inner part. The covering outer part comprises a sealing element for a container nozzle and a grip element which can be rotated in relation thereto. A locking piston acts between the grip element and the sealing element of the outer part of the lid. The locking piston, which can be disengaged by applying prestress to a spring or is disengaged, can be engaged by means of a pressure-controlled drive in the form of a membrane. The drive is connected to a pressure-transmitting arrangement positioned in the inner part of the container.

  • Patent number: 6793037
Abstract: Structured pre-form bodies as panel lining for wide-band sound absorption are made of an open-cell foam material having a rigid framework co-vibrating in a resonant manner at low frequencies. The pre-form bodies have a base layer and a columnar structure positioned directly in front of or on the base layer. The columnar structure has a non-symmetrical distribution of height and cross-section, thereby forming a wide-band tuned moderator gap and the columnar height corresponds approximately to the density of the base layer. The columnar structure has a framework resonance adjustable as a function of parameters of the base layer.

  • Patent number: 6389665
Abstract: The description relates to a facility for needling of fleece with at least one needle board driven to and fro in stitching direction, which can be additionally driven in pendulum fashion in fleece feed direction (15) by means of an eccentric drive, which is provided with a connecting rod (3) articulated to a rocker arm (4) and a connecting pitman (8) to the needle board effective on this connecting rod assembly. To be able to easily adjust the rocking amplitude of the needle board in fleece feed direction (15) it is suggested that the swivel bearing (5) of the rocker arm (4) is seated on a rotatable crank arm (6) and that, for adjustment of the rocking amplitude of the connecting pitman (8), the neutral rocking position of the rocker arm (4) is adjustable via the crank arm (6) between an end position essentially running in the direction of the connecting pitman (8) and an end position running transverse thereto.

  • Patent number: 6385321
Abstract: A reactive sound attenuator which includes a sensor for detecting a sound parameter in a space, e.g. a duct, consists of a signal amplifier that is used to amplify a detected signal, an electroacoustic transducer and a cavity with at least one membrane. The membrane, which is capable of moving in a vibratory manner, is part of a wall of a space, e.g. a duct wall. A sensor, which is disposed in the immediate vicinity of, in or on the membrane, detects the vibrations of the membrane. The sensor's signal, which is amplified and inverted by the amplifier, controls the membrane vibration via the electroacoustic transducer.

  • Publication number: 20020019164
Abstract: A base body with a grip portion at an angle to a contact carrier can be molded in one piece and contacts in the contact passages can be provided in an inactive position until the leads of a conductor are inserted into channels intersecting the contact passages. Then the contacts are pressed into their active positions in which pointed ends of the contacts pierce the insulation of the leads and make electrical contact with the core thereof. The potting mass is filled into the space around the conductor within the sleeve segment of the gripping portion and can extend onto the conductor to form a buckling preventer. The connection is particularly suitable for connection to sensors and the like.
