  • Publication number: 20220398220
Abstract: Systems and methods of determining physical capacity of logical space units are disclosed. The method populates a first smart filter to track a physical capacity of a first logical space unit (LSU). The method adds fingerprints from the first LSU to register(s) of the first smart filter. The method populates a second smart filter to track fingerprints deleted by garbage collection (GC). The method adds the deleted fingerprints to register(s) of the second smart filter. Using the first and second smart filters, the method determines an intersection cardinality of the first LSU and the deleted fingerprints. The method determines a cardinality of unique fingerprints in the first LSU based on the intersection cardinality of the first LSU and the deleted fingerprints. The method determines the physical capacity of the first LSU based at least on the cardinality of unique fingerprints in the first LSU.

  • Publication number: 20220399930
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some user equipments (UEs) and base stations may communicate in a set of transmission time intervals (TTIs) according to a configured subcarrier spacing (SCS). Each TTI may include, in accordance with the SCS, a quantity of symbols, a corresponding quantity of cyclic prefixes, and a padding duration that may be longer than a symbol duration. The base station may transmit a control signal to the UE to indicate a configuration for the padding duration. The configuration may allocate the padding duration for reference signal repetition or one or more other operations. In some examples, the padding duration may be allocated for beam switching, and the one or more other operations may be different than beam switching. The UE and the base station may perform the reference signal repetition or the other operations during the padding duration based on the configuration.

  • Publication number: 20220399951
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may receive an indication of a subcarrier spacing (SCS) for communications in a plurality of transmission time intervals (TTIs), where a TTI include a set of symbols, a corresponding set of cyclic prefixes, and a padding duration. The device may receive a control signal indicating a configuration for the padding duration, at least a portion of which may be reallocated as one or more additional symbols with corresponding one or more additional cyclic prefixes. In some examples, the one or more additional cyclic prefixes and at least a first portion of the set of cyclic prefixes may be reduced in duration in comparison with a remaining portion of the set of cyclic prefixes. The device may communicate during the padding duration using the one or more additional symbols and the corresponding one or more additional cyclic prefixes.

  • Publication number: 20220385733
Abstract: Dynamically scaling control plane for ingress services for large numbers of applications with minimal traffic disruption includes receiving an estimate of a number of applications to be executed by multiple clusters implemented by an orchestrator platform. Each cluster includes multiple containers. The multiple clusters implement a centralized controller that control execution of the applications by the multiple clusters. The centralized controller is sharded into a variable number of controllers that collectively control the estimated number of applications based on the estimate of the number of applications and a pre-determined number of applications that each controller can control. Each controller of the variable number of controllers controls an execution of a respective subset of the applications. In response to a change in the number of applications over time, the number of controllers is modified based on a number of applications to be executed by the multiple clusters at any given time.

  • Publication number: 20220374285
Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor that may generate a migration assessment for resources of a computer system. In particular, the apparatus may logically divide topological information to facilitate identification of a resource, components used by the resource, and dependencies. The system further enables users to specify user-defined migration parameters that specify the migration. For instance, the parameters may specify a cost associated with the migration of the component, a license model of the component, a security requirement of the component, a performance of the component, a customization of the component, or requirement of the component. Migration assessments and decisions may be stored to train machine-learned models. For instance, the model may assess whether a parameter will be satisfied by using a certain cloud service and whether substitutes have sufficiently satisfied dependencies based on observed migration assessments and actual migrations.
