  • Publication number: 20180317132
Abstract: Data is bicasted to a wireless terminal over a wireless at least two air interfaces. Feedback on the data transferred over one of the air interfaces is obtained. An extent of future use of said one of said air interfaces to said wireless terminal at least in part may be determined on the basis of the obtained feedback. Feedback on the data obtained over at least one of the air interfaces is provided in response to bicasting of the data or in response to an indication sent to the wireless terminal.

  • Publication number: 20180132128
Abstract: Various communication systems may benefit from appropriate handling of reconfiguration. For example, certain wireless communication systems may benefit from lossless bearer reconfiguration when handling a transition from the user of a longer sequence number to a shorter sequence number. A method can include determining, by a protocol entity, if a next expected highest count value among count values associated with protocol data units received is more than a pre-defined limit ahead of a lowest count value among count values associated with protocol data units expected to be received. The method can also include resetting the next expected highest count value to a new value corresponding to a predefined upper limit, conditional on the determination.

  • Publication number: 20180123768
Abstract: Indication of delivery-path information may benefit various communication systems. For example, wireless communication systems may benefit from per-protocol data unit delivery-path indication to data recipient or from setting a timer expiry value dependent on such received information. A method can comprise sending, by a data-sending protocol entity, a control protocol data unit. The control protocol data unit can identify protocol data units destined to a data-receiving protocol entity. The method can also comprise providing in the control protocol data unit, for each of the identified protocol data units, a direct or indirect indication of at least one delay figure of a delivery path chosen for an initial transmission of the identified protocol data unit.

  • Patent number: 9894558
Abstract: Lower and upper bounds for flow-control data requests between network nodes Methods and devices are shown for a wireless communication network where a user equipment consumes radio resources provided by at least two different network nodes, at least one node being a master node and at least another node being a secondary node. The secondary node determines a desired amount of data to be targeted to the user equipment and then transmits an indication of the desired amount of data to the master node. A master node receives an indication of the desired amount of data targeted to the user equipment and then controls the amount of data transmitted to the user equipment via the secondary node based on that indication.

  • Publication number: 20170359854
Abstract: Data forwarding may be useful in many communication systems. Thus, for example, data forwarding support may be useful in dual connectivity in, for example, the third generation partnership project (3GPP) and more particularly to dual connectivity with enabled downlink (DL) data back forwarding. A method can include receiving, by a first network node, an indication indicating that for at least one split bearer, data received prior to the indication is to be forwarded to a second network node. The indication can also indicate that the at least one split bearer should be kept or maintained at the first network node.

  • Publication number: 20170353945
Abstract: A method of transmission of excess data associated with a multicast service is scheduled on another radio communication resource. The multicast service may be MBMS or push-to-talk. The method includes determining, at the eNodeB base station, that an amount of data to be multicast during an upcoming scheduling period exceeds the associated multicast communication resource, and accordingly temporarily allocate additional resources on another multicast service communication resource, or else on resources dedicated to conventional services, or else on both kind of resources simultaneously. The base station transmits an indication to the UE(s) about the additional allocation(s) by using MCH scheduling information, such signaling comprising a logical channel identification, LCID, field.

Abstract: A handover process is proposed in a carrier aggregation scenario, in which there is encompassed a device communicating with a terminal in association with at least another device, using at least two carriers. At least a first carrier towards the terminal is established from the at least one another device and at least a second carrier is established towards the terminal from the device.
