    Abstract: A method for channel signaling is described. The method includes determining (e.g., by a UE) whether at least one DL subframe is a valid reference resource. If the at least one DL subframe is not a valid reference resource, reporting measurements of a DL channel measured during the at least one DL subframe is inhibited. The method may include determining (e.g., by an eNB) whether reporting of the at least one DL subframe of a DL channel is required. If reporting is not required, a message configured to cause the at least one UE to inhibit reporting measurements of the DL channel (e.g., CQI measurements) measured during the at least one DL subframe is sent to the UE. According to an example embodiment, a technique may include determining an amount of offered data for a service multiplex to be transmitted exceeds a radio resource reservation for the service multiplex, the service multiplex including a plurality of services; selecting one of the services for a packet drop based on a number of packets offered for each service and a number of packets previously dropped by the base station for each service; dropping a packet of the selected service; and transmitting the data for each service via an associated wireless bearer. Various criteria may be used to select one of the services for packet drop, such as a packet loss rate (or an adjusted packet loss rate), priority of the service, or other criteria such as a service identifier for each service.
