  • Publication number: 20100087792
Abstract: The invention provides a switching device for an irrigation system. The switching device provides selective communication between a supply port to which a supply of fluid under pressure can be attached and a balloon port to which a fixing balloon of a catheter can be attached, and between the supply port and a port to which a liquid reservoir can be attached. By use of a selection handle, the user can deform conduits in a pre-determined sequence and thus control an irrigation procedure by opening and closing fluid flow in various conduits. The invention further provides an irrigation device incorporating the switching device and a method of controlling a fluid flow e.g. in an irrigation system.

  • Publication number: 20090020549
Abstract: The present invention relates to a battery dispenser and a cartridge for dispensing batteries to a hearing aid. The battery dispenser comprises a housing having a compartment for accommodation of at least one battery, each battery having an air tab attached to a first surface of the battery, the compartment communicating with the surroundings through a battery outlet formed in the housing, a release member movably attached to the housing, an ejector member adapted for interaction with the release member in such a way that a battery in the housing is ejected through the battery outlet along an ejector axis substantially perpendicular to the first surface upon activation of the release member, and wherein the air tab of the battery is retained in the battery dispenser upon ejection of the battery from the battery dispenser.

  • Patent number: 5557804
Abstract: A protective appliance to be worn by an individual for protecting a body part of the individual, which body part is covered by a piece of clothing, includes an inner shell part of a generally convex configuration to be arranged such that one side of the inner shell part is covered by the piece of clothing at the body part of the individual. The inner shell part includes opposite flange members and a central curved member integrally connected to the flange members which have configurations allowing the flange members to be arranged in facial contact with respective body surface parts adjacent to the body part of the individual as the central curved member bridges the flange members so as to cover the body part of the individual without contacting the body part, and as the flange members are arranged in facial contact with the body surface parts.
