  • Patent number: 4416686
Abstract: Oxime carbamates and oxime carbonates of the formula ##STR1## in which Ar is optionally substituted phenyl, naphthyl, furan or thiopene,x is hydrogen, carboxylic acid, alkanoyl, halogen, or alkyl, andR is a mono- or di-substituted amine, an optionally substituted alkoxy or an optionally substituted alkylthio group, the substitutents of which include optionally-substituted hydrocarbyl groups and heterocyclic groups are suitable as antidotes for the protection of cultivated plants against harmful agricultural chemicals, in particular against herbicides which are insufficiently compatible with the cultivated plants. These compounds can be used either on their own or together with the agricultural chemicals. One of the possibilities offered is the dressing or immersion treatment of seed or of seedlings, of the crop to be protected, with solutions or dispersions of said compounds.

  • Patent number: 4415743
Abstract: Novel oxime ethers and oxime esters of the formula I given herein have various advantageous effects with regard to stimulation of plant growth, particularly in the early stage of development of the plant. Furthermore, such compounds have the property of rendering, in the sense of an antidote action, agricultural chemicals which would otherwise damage the plants (phytotoxic chemicals) more compatible with the cultivated plants. Herbicides that are insufficiently selective can be used for example in the presence of such oxime derivatives in specific cultivated crops for combating weeds, without disadvantageous consequences for the cultivated plants.

  • Patent number: 4363277
Abstract: A safety device for a banking vehicle includes a pair of cylinders which extend to hold the superstructure in an upright position. The cylinders are hydraulically connected to an accumulator which provides a pressurized fluid reservoir. A valve controls flow from the accumulator to the cylinders. Upon detection of a failure in one of the vehicle systems the valve moves to a position in which fluid flows from the accumulator to extend the cylinders. A pilot operated check valve is positioned between the accumulator and the cylinders to hold the cylinders in the extended position until the failure is rectified.
