  • Publication number: 20090292927
Abstract: Method and systems for single sign on with dynamic authentication levels is described. The method include receiving a data request for access to a second application, where the user is already authenticated to the first application at a first authentication level. Application information about the authentication level necessary to access the second application is retrieved. In response to a request, the user provides the further authentication data for accessing the second application. The type of the further authentication data required is based on the first authentication level and the minimum authentication level necessary to access the second application. The user is then authenticated to the second application at the minimum authentication level necessary to access the second application.

  • Publication number: 20090134722
Abstract: The invention disclosed is a magnet engine, more specifically an engine that derives its power from the power contained in a magnet (22) and employs a cam or barrel drive mechanism (28) to translate the power in the magnet (22) into useful power output. The magnet engine is comprised generally of one or more in-line reciprocating magnet (22) and piston (20) component pairs arranged circularly around and parallel to a central axis, one or more variable magnetic field conductors (23) positioned generally between and generally equidistant from each of the magnet (22) and piston (20) components, in a magnet (22) and piston (20) component pair, that effect a reciprocating motion in the magnet (22) and piston (20) components, and one or more cam drives (28), positioned concentric to the magnet (22) and piston (20) component pairs, that are employed to translate the reciprocating motion of the magnet (22) and piston (20) component pairs into rotary motion.

  • Publication number: 20080186802
Abstract: A system for mixing a bioprocessing fluid includes a container receiving the bioprocessing fluid and a support member supporting the container in an interior of a housing. A first channel is bounded by a first stationary arm and a second stationary arm with the first channel receiving the container. A first mixing arm and a second mixing arm are located in the interior. The first mixing arm is connected to the second mixing arm by a connecting member. The first mixing arm is located in the first channel and the second mixing arm is located in a second channel. Abstract: An implantable, adjustable male incontinence device. The device has an inflatable balloon affixed to a central portion of a reinforced nonextensible elastomeric strip. The balloon includes a first length of elastomeric tubing extending therefrom that provides fluid communication with the interior chamber of the balloon. The uninflated balloon is implanted to overlie the male urethra with the nonextensible strip oriented horizontally and facing away from the urethra. The lateral opposing ends of the nonextensible strip are sutured to the periosteum of respective left and right iliac bones and the inflation port is implanted beneath the skin in an accessible portion of the body, preferably in the scrotum or, less preferably, in the perineum. The inflation port, which also includes a second length of tubing in fluid communication therewith, is implanted beneath the skin and the first and second lengths of tubing are connected to one another.

  • Publication number: 20080119688
Abstract: An adjustable incontinence device for implantation within the body of a female and a method for implanting and using the device for controlling urinary incontinence. The device includes an elastomeric tube having an elongate inflatable balloon affixed to one end thereof and an implantable inflation port affixed to the opposing end of the tube. At least a portion of the balloon in contact with the periurethral tissue is covered with a polyurethane foam. The device is implanted beneath the skin with the balloon disposed anterior and adjacent to the urethra and the tube threaded beneath the skin and attached to the inflation port which is implanted at a transdermally accessible point remote from the balloon. Fluid is introduced into the injection port by transdermal injection and conducted to the interior chamber of the balloon to inflate the balloon and compress the underlying urethra.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for creating a table of information stored on a disk is disclosed. A first track is located on a hard disk which is unaffected and immune to changes in an operating system or any programs using the operating system. The table of information contains a unique marker signifying the beginning of the table. A series of table entries follow the table marker expanding through the sectors of the hard disk. The sectors are analyzed to determine whether the operating system, boot record or partition table make use of them. The table is written to the usable sectors of the track and may be in non-contiguous sectors.
