  • Patent number: 8496773
Abstract: A laminated web from which diaper closure elements may be punched is made by first applying at least two pairs longitudinally extending and transversely spaced bend-resistant strips to a first longitudinally extending nonwoven tape. Then a respective longitudinally extending strip of an elastically stretchable polymer is applied to the first nonwoven tape between each of the pairs of the bend-resistant strips with the polymer strip partially overlapping both of the bend-resistant strips of the respective pair. A second longitudinally extending nonwoven tape that covers and extends transversely to both sides of the polymer strip is applied over the bend-resistant strips and the polymer strips to form a laminate with the polymer strip between the first and second nonwoven tapes.

  • Publication number: 20130133294
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the preferably continuous packaging of products, in particular foods, with or without an already stabilized inherent shape such as fresh meat, meat products and sausage products, sausage meat emulsion or similar products by encasing them on all sides with single-layer or multilayer films that can be fed from the web. According to the invention flexible films that can be deformed without the action of heating and are self-resetting, are used as bottom web films, wherein the bottom web films are temporarily deformed by the action of pressure in order to form troughs for receiving product. The respective product is introduced as portions into the trough and fixed there, wherein it is fixed by a top web film or covering film, optionally supported by a restrainer.

  • Publication number: 20130082422
Abstract: A molded article is made by first providing a starting material comprised of a support web and a layer of expandable polymer particles on the support web. This starting material is fitted as several layers into a generally closed cavity of a mold or shaping shell so as to only partially fill the cavity. Then energy, for instance microwave radiation, is applied to the starting material in the cavity so as to expand or foam the polymer particles such that the starting material generally fills the cavity.
