  • Publication number: 20120189830
Abstract: A label film is formed by means of extrusion and has a layer that forms the surface, on a first side, composed of polyethylene with a proportion of at least 70 wt.-%, preferably at least 85 wt.-% high-density polyethylene, wherein the film thickness amounts to less than 75 ?m. According to the invention, the 60° reflectometer value on at least the first side of the label film, determined according to DIN 67 530, is greater than 80, preferably greater than 90.

  • Publication number: 20120037300
Abstract: A laminated web from which diaper closure elements may be punched is made by first applying at least two pairs longitudinally extending and transversely spaced bend-resistant strips to a first longitudinally extending nonwoven tape. Then a respective longitudinally extending strip of an elastically stretchable polymer is applied to the first nonwoven tape between each of the pairs of the bend-resistant strips with the polymer strip partially overlapping both of the bend-resistant strips of the respective pair. A second longitudinally extending nonwoven tape that covers and extends transversely to both sides of the polymer strip is applied over the bend-resistant strips and the polymer strips to form a laminate with the polymer strip between the first and second nonwoven tapes.

  • Publication number: 20110189437
Abstract: A thermoplastic film with a three-dimensionally structured outer surface is made by coextruding through a slit nozzle a multilayer molten plastic film having an outer layer formed of a thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer with an isocyanate additive and an inner layer. This multilayer film is compressed in a nip between a roll and a belt to emboss a three-dimensional structure into the outer layer. The roll is cooled to cool the film and set the three-dimensional structure in the outer surface of the outer layer.

  • Patent number: 7704901
Abstract: A method for producing an elastic laminate material web that has elastic and non-elastic regions and has non-woven fabric on both surfaces of the web. In between the two surfaces, there are film strips of an elastic film. One surface of the web consists of a planar non-woven fabric layer and is connected with non-woven fabric that is disposed on the opposite surface of the web in areas between the film strips. Each film strip is connected with a non-woven fabric layer to form a laminate strip. The laminate strips are glued to the planar non-woven fabric layer on their film side, and the non-woven fabric that is connected with the planar non-woven fabric layer between the laminate strips is in the form of non-woven fabric strips that run parallel to the laminate strips. The non-woven fabric strips overlap the non-woven fabric layer of the laminate strips in edge regions of the laminate strips.

  • Publication number: 20100025888
Abstract: A molded part is made by cold-stretching a nonwoven web so as to rupture fibers or filaments thereof, laminating to a face of the cold-stretched nonwoven web a stretchable plastic film, and then inserting the laminated nonwoven web and film into a mold cavity with the film juxtaposed with an inner surface of the cavity and the cold-stretched web turned inward. This mold cavity is then filled a polymer melt to press the film against the inner mold surface while forcing the melt to penetrate the nonwoven web.
