  • Patent number: 4029728
Abstract: A method of injection moulding a pallet comprising a reinforcement or reinforcing frame provided with an encapsulation of thermoplastic polymeric material, wherein the reinforcement is held in an open mould cavity by vertical projections before the mould cavity is closed and after closure of the cavity is supported in the cavity by horizontal projections whereupon said material is injected into the cavity to encapsulate the reinforcement, the projections subsequently being withdrawn the cavity opened and the pallet removed. The reinforcement or reinforcing frame of the pallet is in the form of two interconnected assemblies of crossed rods.

  • Patent number: 4005560
Abstract: An appliance for holding concrete reinforcing rods either in relation to each other or spaced relative to a mold surface while the plastic concrete is being poured and hardens. The appliance consists of a wire or rod having a portion helically preformed to have a pitch and internal diameter so that it can be wrapped around the reinforcing rod without exceeding it's elastic limit to tightly grip the rod and a laterally-extending portion which may either engage the surface or be helically preformed to be wrapped around another rod.

  • Patent number: 4006232
Abstract: 3-substituted-5,5-diphenylhydantoin derivatives in which the 5,5-diphenylhydantoin moiety is attached at C.sub.3 by a loweralkylene bridge to a 4-phenyl-1-piperidyl, 4-hydroxy-4-phenyl-1-piperidyl, 4-phenyl-1,2,3,6-tetrahydropyridyl, 4-phenyl-1-piperazinyl, or loweralkylamino group are useful in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias in mammals. One or both of the 5,5-diphenyl substituents optionally can be substituted in the ortho-, meta-, or para-positions with halogeno, lowerakyl, loweralkoxy, amino or nitro groups.

  • Patent number: 3994904
Abstract: Compounds having the generic structure, ##SPC1##And their nontoxic, pharmacologically acceptable salts are useful in the chemotherapy of arrhythmias in individuals for whom such therapy is indicated. In the preceding structural formula: R.sup.1 is a 2-pyridyl, 3-pyridyl, or 4-pyridyl radical; n is an integer of the set 1-3; and R.sup.2 is a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl, or an equivalent alkoxyl group having from 1 to 3 carbon atoms.

  • Patent number: 3995041
Abstract: 2-Substituted-hydroxyanilino-hexahydro-2H-benzo[.alpha.]quinolizines of the structural formula, ##SPC1##In which R.sup.1 is a hydrogen atom or an alkanoyl group of 2 to 4 carbon atoms and each of substituents R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, and R.sup.6 is a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl, or a methyl group, such that at least one of the latter substituents is a hydroxyl group, exhibit coronary vasodilating activity.

  • Patent number: 3976903
Abstract: A slip ring assembly for an a.c. machine comprises a pair of copper rings mounted on an electrically insulating sleeve formed of two arcuate portions, each of which extends for less than the true semi-circle so that the sleeve is not a true cylinder of circular cross-section. Means internally of the sleeve urges the arcuate portions outwardly when the sleeve is mounted on a rotor shaft of the a.c. machine so as to retain the rings in position on the sleeve. The means may be in the form of a separate, split cylindrical spring or in the form of a taper on the inner surface of the sleeve which engages a corresponding taper on the rotor shaft.

  • Patent number: 3934501
Abstract: A demountable document receiving tray or gauge member is provided with means for adjusting the lateral location of a document relative to the printing position of a MICR imprinting apparatus so as to position the document at any one of a multiple set of full field MICR printing positions. Structure operably associated with the document receiving tray permits automatic actuation of the MICR printing mechanism by insertion of a document. Also included is structure providing a time delay preventing accidental actuation of the document printing structure after withdrawal of the document.
