    Abstract: The present invention provides a method of starting up a loop reactor system, which method includes heating a reaction mixture present in the loop reactor system with the heat of reaction of at least one exothermic reaction occurring in the loop reactor system. The method of the invention makes possible an inexpensive, reliable and simple start-up of loop reactor systems, since the heat liberated when carrying out an exothermic reaction is utilized for heating the reaction mixture present in the loop reactor. Use of the method of the invention makes it unnecessary to switch heat exchangers over from coolant to heat transfer media such as steam. Since the method of the invention is able to heat up the reaction mixture in the loop reactor system more rapidly than in conventional methods, the number and the amount of by-products formed by secondary reactions during the start-up phase is reduced.

    Abstract: A tool for processing holes has a shaft which can be clamped in a drive element for executing a forward stroke into a working position within a hole, a return stroke, and an at least rotating working motion of the tool, two support elements arranged on the shaft, wires clamped at one end of the shaft between the support elements and being sprung bowing away from the shaft in an arc shape, the wires being coated with a cutting medium. One of the support elements is axially adjustable relative to the shaft. The shaft has axially positioned slots distributed on a circumference in two regions axially offset from one another. The shaft also has an axial hole leading out from both ends of the shaft and extending into the regions. The support elements are formed as limit stops inserted in the axial hole and each end just short of an entry of the hole into an area of the slots. The wires have ends extending through the slots and coming to rest on the limit stops.

    Abstract: A magnetic chuck assembly comprises top and bottom plates separated by a layer of non-magnetizable material, each plate having magnetizable sections separated by strips of non-magnetic material. A rotor mounted between the top and bottom plates carries a plurality of permanent magnets substantially symmetrically disposed therein. The magnets in each half of the rotor are of the same polarity but those in one half are of opposite polarity to those in the other. When the rotor is turned to a position in which all the magnets of like polarity in one half thereof lie between the magnetizable sections of the plates on the same side of the non-magnetizable strips, the sections become magnetized and hold a magnetizable workpiece in place on the edges of the plate. Switching the rotor to a position in which equal numbers of magnets of opposite polarity lie between the magnetizable sections serves to de-energize the latter and release the workpiece.

These excisions are bounded by a flow channel guiding the valve closing member and have a defined flow cross-section of equal size, which in total is of the order of magnitude of the cross-section of the delivery line.
