Patent number: 10606943Abstract: An approach is provided in which a fault-injecting system injects a natural language fault into a first text segment to produce a second text segment that are both written in a natural language. The fault-injecting system receives a third text segment from a reviewer that includes at least one correction to the second text segment. The fault-injecting system compares the third text segment against the first text segment and generates an efficacy score. The efficacy score indicates whether the correction in the third text segment corrects the natural language fault. In turn, the fault-injecting system sends the efficacy score to an author of the first text segment.Type: GrantFiled: October 9, 2017Date of Patent: March 31, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Hernan A. Publication number: 20200099767Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for adding conversation context from detected audio to contact records. An audio stream is received through a microphone of a personal computing device. Context analysis is performed of the audio stream to detect conversation context in the audio stream. A request is received to associate the conversation context with a selected contact person. A determination is made of conversation context detected from a segment of the audio stream received during a period of time from when the request was received. The conversation context determined for the period of time is included in a contact record for the selected contact person. The contact record is stored in a contact database including a plurality of contact records for a plurality of contact persons, wherein the contact records include conversation context and location information associated with the contact persons.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 25, 2019Publication date: March 26, 2020Inventors: Hernan A. Publication number: 20200094851Abstract: In an approach, one or more computer processors determine that a user is in a vehicle. The one or more computer processors identify historical vehicle occupancy data of the user. The one or more computer processors monitor one or more driving metrics of the vehicle while the user is an occupant. The one or more computer processors determine whether a vehicle exceeds a threshold based, at least in part, on a comparison of the monitored one or more driving metrics and the identified historical vehicle occupancy data. The one or more computer processors determine an action based, at least in part, on the vehicle exceeding the threshold.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 20, 2018Publication date: March 26, 2020Inventors: Adam J. Patent number: 10599703Abstract: Multimedia content is presented to a user. Questions presented by the user are monitored. A core concept of the question can be identified. The multimedia content can be analyzed to determine whether the multimedia content contains a possible answer to the question. If the multimedia content contains a possible answer to the question, a confidence score can be assigned to at least one segment of the multimedia content that covers the at least one possible answer, the confidence score assigned to the segment of the multimedia content indicating a probability that the segment of the multimedia content answers the question. Based on the confidence score assigned to segment of the multimedia content, the segment of the multimedia content can be selected. Based on the selected segment of the multimedia content, an answer to the question presented by the user can be automatically generated and presented to the user.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2017Date of Patent: March 24, 2020Assignee: INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MACHINES CORPORATIONInventors: Hernan A. Patent number: 10585742Abstract: A method and system for performing a root cause analysis. A CPU identifies events of interest as a function of a user's observable behavior, which includes the user's eye gaze, while viewing event data. The CPU calculates an interest score for each of the identified events of interest, wherein the interest score is a probability of each of the identified events of interest being a root cause of a defect. The CPU tags each of the events of interest with a tag as a function of each calculated interest score. The identifying of the one or more events of interest includes: correlating a focal point of the user's eye gaze to a viewing position of a display device displaying the file; and identifying, as a function of the viewing position, the event data being viewed and an amount of time that the event data is viewed by the user.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2018Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Hernan A. Patent number: 10567535Abstract: A program product for detecting abnormal behavior of users is disclosed. A computer identifies first and second users based on user definitions and at least one personal device associated with the users. Activities of the users are monitored in real time based on the user definitions, location data received over a time series from the personal devices. A proximity distance, between the personal devices over the time series, is identified based on the location data. The computer generates movement patterns for the personal devices over the time series based on the location data and the proximity distance and creates a workflow. The computer compares the current location with the workflow in real time, and detects a deviation from the workflow in response to the comparing the current location in real time. The computer generates an alert in response to the detecting deviation in real time.Type: GrantFiled: January 27, 2017Date of Patent: February 18, 2020Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Dean T.
