  • Publication number: 20100326072
Abstract: An input rod and an input piston are advanced in response to an operation of a brake pedal, and an electric motor is driven according to the movement of the input piston to push a primary piston forward in a master cylinder through a ball-screw mechanism, thereby generating desired hydraulic pressures in a primary chamber and a secondary chamber and supplying the hydraulic pressure to the brake caliper of each wheel. At this time, a part of the hydraulic pressure in the primary chamber is received by the input piston to feed back to the brake pedal a part of the reaction force of hydraulic pressure during braking. A retainer of a spring assembly interposed between the primary and secondary pistons has a hollow structure to insert therein the forward end portion of the input piston, thereby allowing a reduction in the axial length of the primary piston.

  • Publication number: 20100074443
Abstract: Input data is converted into an image, and in the input image, an encryption region that is a region in which the image is to be encrypted. Meanwhile, on the basis of an encryption key, encryption key-related information that is information related to the encryption key is generated, and the encryption key-related information is embedded into the image in the encryption region, to generate a first intermediate image. Next, the first intermediate image is converted on the basis of the encryption key, to generate a second intermediate image. Then, the pixel values of the second intermediate image are converted so that the position of the encryption region can be specified. As a result of the conversion, an encrypted image in which the part corresponding to the encryption region in the input image is generated.

  • Publication number: 20090256417
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a brake device in which brake feeling can be improved. In response to depression of a brake pedal 6, an electric brake 5 mounted on the rear side starts to generate a braking force at the time of stroke h1 before a fluid pressure brake 4 mounted on the front side starts to generate a braking force when the stroke reaches stroke h2. In the conventional art, the braking force on the rear side is set according to the fluid pressure on the front side, and braking can be controlled only by the response of the fluid pressure. In the conventional art, an invalid stroke is long, and when the stroke enters a braking force zone where a braking force is generated according to a pedal stroke, the braking force suddenly increases relative to an advance of the stroke (rigid impression), whereby the driver often feels discomfort and pedal feeling is deteriorated.

  • Publication number: 20090183958
Abstract: In the normal condition, a braking force is generated by directly supplying to a disk brake a fluid pressure generated in a master cylinder in response to an operation of a brake pedal. In addition, a braking force can be generated by supplying a fluid pressure to the disk brake by actuating a hydraulic pump motor by a controller. When a knock-back occurs due to, for example, rapid turning of a vehicle, a piston is allowed to be displaced backward so that uneven wear of a brake pad and a disk rotor can be prevented. After that, when a cause for the knock-back is eliminated, the piston is caused to move forward and a pad clearance is adjusted by actuating the pump motor by the controller so that deterioration of the responsiveness can be prevented.

  • Publication number: 20090174910
Abstract: A plurality of background texture patterns each of which includes a region not having a dot and having a feature different from those of the other background texture patterns, are combined, and information is embedded in a background region of a document image. Then, a mathematical-morphology-based conversion is performed on the document image, and thereby a feature of a region not having a dot in each of the background texture patterns is extracted in order to identify the embedded information.

  • Publication number: 20090057073
Abstract: In a disk brake apparatus of the present invention, it is determined whether a centering operation should be performed, and operation conditions for the centering operation (the length of the interval and the number of the operations) are set, according to a change of deformation of a disk rotor by heat release over time. When the centering operation is performed, a solenoid is actuated to perform the centering operation according to the set operation conditions. The centering operation is an operation of moving a pair of brake pads (2) and (3) into contact with the disk rotor (1) and then separating the pads from the disk rotor during a cooling process while a vehicle is running.

  • Patent number: 7309666
Abstract: A silicone coated fabric having a base woven fabric that is formed from a synthetic fiber weaving yarn that has a yarn size of from 100 to 270 dtex, and a weaving size expressed by product calculated by multiplying the yarn size of a weaving yarn and a weave density (ends or picks/2.54 cm) of from 10,000 to 25,000 (dtex·ends (or picks)/2.54 cm) in both the warp direction and the weft direction, a silicone being applied to the woven fabric in an amount of from 5 to 25 g/m2, and having on one side a uniform silicone coating layer forming part of the silicone mentioned above. The silicone coated fabric is a lightweight coated fabric that shows improved heat resistance, improved flexibility and an improved low coefficient of friction as well as particularly improved burning resistance. The fabric can therefore be used for producing lightweight and compactly storable airbags that suppress bursting starting from a burnt-through-hole, and that shorten a deployment time.

  • Publication number: 20070211759
Abstract: The present invention provides a multiplexing device, multiplexing method, and multiplexing program that allow an optional character string to be easily multiplexed with video online. The multiplexing processing unit multiplexes a dummy character string with the respective encoded data for video and audio. The multiplexed data are stored in the multiplexed data storage unit. The multiplexing processing unit stores the position (first dummy point) in which the dummy character string data were stored in the dummy point storage unit. The character string substitution processing unit substitutes the dummy character string data for the optional character string data to be inserted that has been input from the character string input unit on the basis of a first dummy point. The substituted multiplexed data are output as a multiplexed file from the file generation processing unit.

  • Publication number: 20070201704
Abstract: A detection signal of sound or vibration detected at an evaluation point is filtered so that an evaluation waveform signal is extracted. Then, a mother wavelet is derived using this. On the other hand, each of detection signals of sound or vibration detected at a plurality of candidate points is filtered so that each candidate waveform signal is extracted. These candidate waveform signals are processed by wavelet transformation using the derived mother wavelet. Then, on the basis of the result, instantaneous correlation is calculated between each candidate waveform signal and the mother wavelet. Then, on the basis of mutual comparison of the calculated instantaneous correlation, a generation source of the sound or vibration that appears at the evaluation point is identified.

  • Publication number: 20070176759
Abstract: A noise detection signal detected at an evaluation point is filtered by a low pass filter, so that an evaluation waveform signal is extracted. A real signal mother wavelet of complex type is derived from the extracted evaluation waveform signal. Using this mother wavelet, an abnormal waveform signal stored in advance is processed by wavelet transformation. Then, a correlation value is calculated between the abnormal waveform signal and the mother wavelet. The correlation value is compared with a predetermined criterion, so that the presence or absence of abnormality in a sound source or vibration source corresponding to each abnormal waveform signal is determined.

  • Publication number: 20040062525
Abstract: A video processing system which realizes high efficiency and improved service quality in video production, including high-speed extraction of scenes related to a particular subject and compilation of a personalized video product. Video recording units are placed along a given course, each of which stores video of moving objects that is captured by a fixed camera, together with time stamps that indicate at what time each part of the video was taken. At checkpoints on the course, time measurement units measure checkpoint passage time of every passing moving object and store checkpoint time records including the measured checkpoint passage times and identifiers of individual moving objects. A video authoring unit searches the stored video data to find and extract scenes of a particular moving object, using the checkpoint time records in association with time stamps in the video data, and compiles the extracted scenes into a personalized video product.
