In an exemplary embodiment, the sensor is configured to determine whether the specimen includes the first substance and further includes, on the base, a detection unit on which a second substance is immobilized. The second substance includes a bond that is cleft by the reaction with hydrogen peroxide. In an exemplary embodiment, the specimen that is brought in contact with an enzyme that generates the hydrogen peroxide by the reaction with the first substance is introduced to the detection unit in the sensor configured to determine whether the specimen includes the first substance.

The dielectric layer 4 has an exposed part 23 exposed in the space 22. According to this structure, deterioration of the dielectric layer can be prevented, and a capacitor device exhibiting a good leakage current characteristic is obtained.
