  • Patent number: 8493944
Abstract: Access points are grouped into access point groups. An access point group table that stores correlation between the access point groups and the access points and a terminal position table that manages the correlation between the access point groups and a terminal are provided for a position managing server that manages the position of the terminal. An access point notifies the position managing server of the identifier of the access point itself and the identifier of the terminal being connected to the access point. In the position managing server, an access point group to which the access point belongs is found by searching the access point group table. The terminal is registered in the column of “access point group” of the terminal position table.

  • Patent number: 7825639
Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for minimizing power consumption in a reference voltage circuit. A capacitor is coupled to a reference voltage circuit and charged to a voltage that equals the reference voltage of the reference voltage circuit. The capacitor is then decoupled from the reference voltage circuit and power to the reference voltage circuit is turned off. The capacitor then provides the capacitor voltage to other circuits as a reference voltage. After a selected period of time has elapsed since the capacitor was last charged to the reference voltage, the reference voltage circuit is turned on and the capacitor is again coupled to the reference voltage circuit. The reference voltage circuit then recharges the capacitor to the reference voltage level. This process is repeated to periodically charge the capacitor to the reference voltage.

  • Patent number: 7796217
Abstract: A liquid crystal display panel including two substrates combined together through a sealing material applied to a peripheral portion thereof. A liquid crystal is sealed between the substrates, and there is a picture-frame area on the substrates, outside a display area and inside a region where the sealing material is formed. A light-shield film is formed in the picture-frame area in the form of a frame surrounding the display area, wherein the light-shield film does not overlap the sealing material. A first conductive film is formed in the picture-frame area on either of the substrates, outside the light-shield film, in the form of a continuously connected frame surrounding the display area and in the same layer as a pixel electrode formed at each pixel in the display area. A second conductive film is formed on the other of the substrates, facing the first conductive film.

  • Patent number: 7671575
Abstract: A circuit for improving transient response for a load coupled to a voltage regulator by employing both load current level information and the regulator's output voltage to control a loop that provides relatively faster and accurate regulation of the regulator's output voltage. The circuit includes an error amplifier that is coupled to a reference voltage and feedback resistors connected to the regulator's output voltage. This error amplifier outputs a compensation signal that is subsequently summed at a summing point with additional information regarding the amount of current flowing through the load. Then, this summed compensation signal is subsequently employed by a pulse width modulation (PWM) comparator and other components to regulate the regulator's output voltage with improved speed and accuracy. The circuit can be arranged in different topologies, including buck, boost, and buck/boost.

  • Patent number: 7553392
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device in which liquid crystal is sealed between substrates using a one drop fill method. Dropping of liquid crystal is controlled so that the dropping quantity of the liquid crystal is reduced in an area including the vicinity of a seal material on a side with a relatively narrow cell gap width while the dropping quantity of the liquid crystal is increased in an area including the vicinity of the seal material on a side with a relatively broad cell gap width. Alternatively, dropping of the liquid crystal is controlled so that the number of times the liquid crystal is dropped is reduced in the area including the vicinity of the seal material on one side while the number of times the liquid crystal is dropped is increased in the area including the vicinity of the seal material on another side without changing the dropping quantity of one drop.

  • Publication number: 20070211664
Abstract: A communication relay apparatus is provided that shortens the time of communication relay during handovers, while reducing the load on communication relay apparatuses so as to enable application to large-scale networks. The communication relay apparatus sets static tunnels only with communication relay apparatuses for which the frequency of handovers is high and with communication relay apparatuses for which the probability of occurrence of handovers is high, and sets dynamic tunnels with other communication relay apparatuses. For communication relay apparatuses with which static tunnels are set, data packets are transferred via the static tunnel; for communication relay apparatuses with which static tunnels are not set, a dynamic tunnel is set, and data packets are transferred via the dynamic tunnel.
