  • Publication number: 20060266318
Abstract: Valve timing control apparatus includes a driving rotary member driven by an engine; a driven rotary member arranged to rotate relative to the driving rotary member and adapted to rotate a camshaft of the engine; and a hydraulic control section to rotate the driven rotary member relative to the driving rotary member hydraulically. A lock mechanism is arranged to be brought, in accordance with a hydraulic pressure supplied from the hydraulic control section, from a lock state to prevent relative rotation of the driven rotary member relative to the driving rotary member, to an unlock state to allow the relative rotation, through an standby state to prepare for the unlock state without allowing the relative rotation of the driven rotary member relative to the driving rotary member.

  • Publication number: 20060260577
Abstract: A valve timing control apparatus includes a driving rotary member driven by an engine, and a driven rotary member to drive a camshaft of the engine. The driven member is rotatable relative to the driving rotary member. A first movable member is provided in one of the rotary members, and arranged to move forwards and backwards. A second movable member is provided in the other of the rotary members, and arranged to move forwards and backwards. The first and second movable members are arranged to limit a relative rotation between the driving rotary member and the driven rotary member when both the first movable member and the second movable member are moved forwards, and to allow the relative rotation when at least one of the first and second movable members is moved backwards.

  • Publication number: 20060060161
Abstract: A valve timing control apparatus for an internal combustion engine includes a housing having a housing body and shoes protruding from an inner circumferential surface of the housing body to define actuation spaces therebetween, a vane rotor disposed in the housing and having a rotor body and vanes protruding from an outer circumferential surface of the rotor body to divide the actuation spaces into circumferentially alternating first and second hydraulic chambers, a plurality of spring units arranged in at least either the first hydraulic chambers or the second hydraulic chambers to bias the vane rotor in a rotational direction with respect to the housing, and a rotation restriction mechanism capable of restricting a relative rotation of the housing and the vane rotor to prevent the shoes and the vanes from contact with each other within the hydraulic chambers in which the spring units are arranged.

  • Patent number: 6689437
Abstract: An oxygen-absorbing material including a transition metal compound and one or more thermoplastic resins, when used for a molded product such as container, exhibits excellent gas-barrier and oxygen-absorbing properties. The material absorbs oxygen from contents and blocks oxygen from entering so that the contents can be maintained in an oxygen-free state for a long period of time. An excellent oxygen-absorbing property is achieved by an amino group content of 20 mmol/kg or lower in at least one thermoplastic resin and by lowering the crystallinity of the thermoplastic resin.

  • Patent number: 6462263
Abstract: An information recording medium and an information recording medium reproducing apparatus in which a plurality of kinds of character string information can be sorted and displayed from character information which is recorded in a specific area on the information recording medium. A series of character string information including character strings and a delimiter symbol showing a delimiter of the character strings is recorded in the specific area on the information recording medium. The information recording medium reproducing apparatus has a display unit which can divide the character string information into a plurality of character strings on the basis of the delimiter symbol and can display each character string at each of desired positions.

  • Patent number: 5982414
Abstract: A bidirectional signal distributing system which can use a sweet sleep system at home without exerting a burden on a subscriber so as to purchase the sweet sleep system. Luminance change frequency data and/or audio change frequency data suitable to shift to a sweet sleep state of the subscriber has been stored in a head end apparatus in the bidirectional signal distributing system. When the subscriber requests a sweet sleep function, the luminance change frequency data and/or audio change frequency data according to the subscriber provided on the head end side is read out, a predetermined video signal and/or audio signal is modulated, and the modulated signal is transmitted to the subscriber apparatus.
