  • Patent number: 9745378
Abstract: The present inventors obtained, from a phage library of human antibodies, an anti-mouse NR 10 neutralizing antibody-expressing BM095 clone that shows a strong proliferation-suppressing activity in an IL-31-dependent Ba/F3 cell proliferation assay system. When this anti-mouse NR 10 neutralizing antibody was administered to NC/Nga mice, a model of atopic dermatitis which is a mouse model of chronic dermatitis that arises as a result of repeated applications of picryl chloride, a mouse model of rheumatoid arthritis, and a mouse model of osteoarthritis, a significant effect of symptom suppression was observed. This revealed that the anti-NR 10 neutralizing antibody is indeed effective as a therapeutic agent for inflammatory diseases. In addition, the present inventors successfully obtained an anti-human NR 10 neutralizing antibody, providing extremely useful therapeutic agents with practical clinical applications.

  • Patent number: 9130331
Abstract: A rotating connector includes a cable accommodation chamber formed between an outer case and an inner case in their radial direction, a flexible flat cable housed in the cable accommodation chamber, and multiple idlers housed in the cable accommodation chamber. The idlers are rotatably provided in a direction of an annular slidable member. The idlers are rotatable on their own axes. The flat cable is wound on an inner periphery of the outer case and an outer periphery of the inner case by way of a reversed portion of the flat cable. The flat cable is wound thereon in opposite directions. The idlers are pivotally supported by the slidable member so as to change a space between the idlers and the inner case and a space between the idlers and the outer case depending on winding of the flat cable.

  • Patent number: 7732133
Abstract: In the case when there are two objective biological activities, and the aim is to isolate a compound having at least one biological activity, the present inventors developed an assay method wherein a common detection marker is utilized for separately detecting the presence or absence of each of the biological activities. The present inventors discovered that a compound having at least one of two or more distinct biological activities can be efficiently and conveniently detected by simultaneously assaying at least one test sample or more by the above-mentioned method. Furthermore, for a test sample that proved to be positive by the detection method, they found that it is possible to efficiently and conveniently screen for a test sample having an objective specific biological activity by combining with a method wherein an individual activity of a test sample can be detected to specify the biological activity.
