  • Patent number: 6447179
Abstract: Continuous photo film includes a support of resin film having a back surface. A photosensitive layer of photographic emulsion is disposed on a surface of the support opposite to the back surface. A conveying roller conveys the continuous photo film. The conveying roller includes a roller body of metal. A hardness reinforcer layer is formed on a surface of the roller body by thermal spraying of ceramic or cermet, so that the roller body surface is prevented from being scratched or ground by the back surface of the film.

  • Publication number: 20020012538
Abstract: A casing and a lid which are supplied to a casing/lid supply machine are fed to a main assembly line where a light-shielding sheet is mounted on the casing and a film cover supplied from a film cover assembly line is mounted in the casing. Pressers supplied from a presser assembly line are mounted on the lid. The casing and the lid are combined with each other, completing a film case. The film case manufacturing system is capable of efficiently manufacturing highly accurate film cases and is relatively compact in structure.

  • Patent number: 5765474
Abstract: A photo film cassette has a spool about which photo film is wound. A data disk is disposed near to an axial end of a core of the spool. To record a bar code on the data disk in manufacturing the photo film cassette, a hot stamping apparatus includes at least one spool holder for holding the spool in a slidable manner while the core is erect and the data disk is oriented upwards. A disk support supports the data disk. A slider shifts the disk support between a retracted position away from the spool holder and an advanced position close to the spool holder. The disk support in the advanced position is adapted to lift the data disk by contact with a bottom of the data disk. A hot stamping head is pressed against a top of the data disk, and records a bar code thereto. Cushion springs are biasing the disk support up toward the hot stamping head.

  • Patent number: 5013593
Abstract: Disclosed is an information storage medium having an air-sandwich structure which comprises two disc-shaped substrates joined together through a ring-shaped inner spacer and a ring-shaped outer spacer. These spacers are made of the same kind of resin as those forming the disc substrates and the resin of the spacers has a viscosity-average molecular weight larger than that of the resin of the substrates. Also disclosed is a process for producing the information storage medium by joining the spacers to the disc substrates by means of ultrasonic welding.

  • Patent number: 4900380
Abstract: A process for producing an information recording medium such as an optical disc comprises the steps of: putting a disc-shaped resin film having a hole at its central part upon a surface of a recording layer-side of a disc-shaped resin substrate having a hole at its center; and joining the resin film to the resin substrate by thermal welding in an outer-side non-recording zone of the substrate and by ultrasonic welding in an inner-side non-recording zone of the substrate.

  • Patent number: 4889564
Abstract: A method of cleaning a magnetic disk comprises the steps of rotating a magnetic disk housed in a cage, feeding a gas into the case, and at the same time sucking the gas from the inside of the case via window openings formed in upper and lower surfaces of the case, whereby the efficiency of discharge of dust from the case is improved by interaction of the gas feeding with the gas suction. An apparatus for cleaning a magnetic disk comprises a rotation shaft for rotating a magnetic disk housed in a case. The rotation shaft is provided with a gas passageway in the inside, and a gas discharging hole which is formed near a leading end portion to communicate with the gas passageway and which is opened inward of the case. A gas feeder is disposed for feeding gas into the gas passageway, and two gas suction devices for sucking gas from the case in the course of rotation of the magnetic disk are disposed to face respectively window openings formed in upper and lower surfaces of the case.
