  • Patent number: 4645977
Abstract: A plasma CVD apparatus comprises a first vacuum enclosure with a plasma generating means, an accelerating means for accelerating ions in a plasma toward a substrate and a second vacuum enclosure connected to the first vacuum enclosure, so that the plasma gas flows into the second vacuum enclosure and forms a film of uniform and superior quality at high speed.

Assignee: Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd.
Inventors: Hideo Kurokawa, Tsutomu Mitani, Taketoshi Yonezawa
  • Patent number: 4122126
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for removing an aluminum halide or its complex catalyst from a polymerization product comprising the steps of adding to the polymerization product an aprotic polar solvent in an amount of 1.0 through 6.0 mol per one mol of the aluminum halide in the catalyst present in the product and sufficiently mixing them at a temperature of 70.degree. through 150.degree. C, and then, filtering the mixture at a temperature of 70.degree. through 150.degree. C. The addition of the aprotic polar solvent remarkably facilitates the separation of the catalyst from the polymerization product.

  • Patent number: 4107080
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for preparing a catalyst for polymerizing a mono olefin having 6 through 20 carbon atoms comprising mixing (a) a fatty acid having not less than 3 carbon atoms and (b) aluminum chloride, aluminum bromide or a mixture thereof in an amount of 0.7 through 1.2 mol of the component (b) based upon 1 mol of the component (a), to effect the condensation reaction of both components and a catalyst prepared by said process. This catalyst is suitable for use in the production of an olefin polymer having low viscosity and a high viscosity index.
