  • Patent number: 6010341
Abstract: An electrical connection unit having a junction block and a plurality of connectors mounted thereon. The junction block carries a plurality of electrical elements, also mounted thereon and in electrical contact with the elements. There is a plurality of wire harnesses extending from the connectors and the side walls of either the junction block or a main box are extended beyond the connectors in a direction away from the elements. The remote edges of the side walls bear against the vehicle body and provide a space between the edges and the connectors. This construction provides a space through which the wire harnesses can be passed and a simple means of waterproofing without the necessity of a bottom cover. In addition, the pull-out section is composed of two semi-cylinders, which are hinged to each other so that the wire harnesses can be placed therein and one of the semi-cylinders rotated about the hinge, closed, and latched.

  • Patent number: 5866847
Abstract: A wire assembly is formed by insertion of a wire into a wire guide including a wire guide which is either a receiving groove or pairs of guide projections in or on an insulation substrate. Cramping terminals may be connected to the wire, and the wire may be cut in desired positions to separate it into a plurality of circuits. A retainer is provided which is at an angle to the leading end of the wire guide at a starting position. The wire is inserted into the wire guide after its leading end has been introduced into the wire retainer.

  • Patent number: 5826473
Abstract: A continuous strand of wire is laid in a wire groove or between pairs of guides on a substrate and is cut at desired locations to form individual circuits. At least one recess below the level of the wire laying plane is positioned to correspond to a scrap wire portion to be cut off. The recess is wide enough to allow insertion of cutters. The cutters include pairs of first and second cutting blades located at opposite sides of the wire which are moved toward the wire so that both ends of the scrap wire portion are cut by the first cutting blades and by the second cutting blades, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5722851
Abstract: A circuit component having a plurality of flat cables each formed by covering a group of parallel wires with a thick layer of insulating resin. The cables are superposed and preferably arranged so that their axes are not parallel. Cramping terminals are inserted into flat cables from above and below in specified predetermined positions, and are securely held therein. Wire contacts of the cramping terminals are connected to specific wires by penetrating the wire coatings means of cutters. The cramping terminal may be formed with a tab which forms an external terminal and connects the wire(s) therewith. The cramping terminals may also connect two or more wires of the same flat cable conductor member or of different flat cables, thus forming the desired circuit. A circuit component, including the desired circuit is separately formed in advance. A junction box is completed merely by mounting the preformed circuit component in the casing thereof.

  • Patent number: 5017766
Abstract: In an IC card having an update function of transaction data, account type, supplementary amount, and valid date are input to the IC card. The IC card adds a renewal number data held therein to the input transaction data, and the data is encrypted using key data, thus generating reference confirmation data. Input confirmation data is generated using the identical encryption generation algorithm by a host system of a credit company. The input confirmation data is supplied to the IC card. A comparison means in the IC card compares the input confirmation data with the generated reference confirmation data. As a result of the comparison, if these data coincide each other, the input data is stored in the memory in the IC card as new transaction data and update processing is executed.

  • Patent number: 4973828
Abstract: A portable electronic medium such as an IC card, for example. The IC card incorporates a data memory and CPU and is externally provided with a keyboard and a liquid crystal display. The data memory stores a variety of data which respectively indicates the maximum amount allowed for executing transactions in an effective term, the effective term for transactions, the maximum amount for transactions that can be renewed each effective term, and the effective term between renewals. In addition, the IC card also incorporates a clock circuit which generates data indicating present date. When the card holder enters into a transaction using the IC card, the CPU compares data related to the date with the effective term for transactions.

  • Patent number: 4822990
Abstract: An admission control system including a portable medium which is equipped with a transponder that is actuated and powered by an inquiry radio wave and sends out an identifying code signal as a radio wave, a transmission device which is provided at a gateway to a place to which admittance is to be gained by only specific persons, and at the gateways to specific areas within the place, and so on, the transmission device transmits an inquiry radio wave, upon detecting the passage of the gateway by a person who carries the portable medium. The admission control system receives an identifying code signal from the portable medium that is transmitted in response to the inquiry radio wave, admits the bearer of the portable medium card to the place only when the identifying code coincides with the identifying code at the gate, and confirms the position of the person within the place.
