  • Publication number: 20060072141
Abstract: A computer readable medium including a digital image print support program that is executable in a computer is used for determining which one of plural printers is suitable for printing an image to be printed. The program has: a first step of dividing an area of the image to be printed into a first image area where a defect is conspicuous, and a second image area where a defect is inconspicuous, and obtaining an area rate of the first image area or the second image area; and a second step of outputting a result of comparison of the area rate with a threshold. A printer is selected in accordance with an output result, and then a less-defective print image can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20050099513
Abstract: The multi-band image photographing method and apparatus photograph a subject by dividing a photographing wavelength region into plural bands and obtain spectral images of the subject corresponding to the respective divided plural bands. The method and apparatus detect a sensitivity balance among the respective plural bands from photographing data of each of the spectral images obtained by preliminary photographing performed prior to main photographing, determine photographing conditions for the respective plural bands based upon the detected sensitivity balance, and perform the main photographing in accordance with the determined photographing conditions to photograph a multi-band image. The program is used to cause a computer to execute this method or part thereof.

  • Publication number: 20050062831
Abstract: An image forming apparatus records an image on a photosensitive material by controlling a light emission amount from a plurality of light emission elements that each emit light in accordance with a supplied light emission control signal. The apparatus has a control signal generation unit and a first and second signal generation sections and a signal switching section. The control signal generation unit generates a first light amount control signal from a density modulation. The second signal generation section generates an ON/OFF control signal and a second light amount control signal as a pair of signals from a combination of a density modulation and an area modulation. The signal switching section generates a light emission control signal by performing signal switching between the first light amount control signal and the pair of the signals. The exposure by the light emission is overlaid.

  • Publication number: 20040119977
Abstract: The discriminating method utilizes first to third sensors respectively having spectral sensitivities corresponding to three primary colors and a fourth sensor having a spectral sensitivity that does not overlap the spectral sensitivities corresponding to the three primary colors as sensors constituting an image pickup system, and discriminates a light source type of a photographic light source by using information obtained by the first to fourth sensors. The image forming method corrects image data of an input image using the light source type discriminated by the above light source type discriminating method.

  • Publication number: 20030063303
Abstract: The image processing method and apparatus perform data conversion so as to adapt a color image input from image input means to a predetermined output medium when the color image is to be output as a hardcopy by image output means to the predetermined output medium. The method and apparatus use data of a brightest point in the image output means for a chromatic color part of input image data while using data of a chromaticity point allowing achievement of a preferred whiteness in the image output means, for an achromatic color part of the input image data, and thereby perform the data conversion on the input image data The program executes the image processing method.

  • Publication number: 20030048465
Abstract: The color image recording medium for recording and preserving a color image as a hard copy includes a transmission type image recording material for recording the color image and a reflective observation diffuser detachable to the transmission type image recording material. The color image is observed through reflected light by fitting the reflective observation diffuser to an under side of the transmission type image recording material, and the color image is read through transmission light from the transmission type image recording material by removing the reflective observation diffuser from the under side of the transmission type image recording material. The color image recording method compresses a density range of image signals of a reproduced image of a color image by approximately half and records the color image on a transmission type image recording material with the compressed density range.
