    Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for optimizing wireless network topology are disclosed, particularly for use in complex environments, such as Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs). The disclosed framework provides uninterrupted wireless connectivity and an enhanced user experience by dynamically managing network connections and executing seamless handoffs between APs. The framework manages connections to wireless access points (APs) based on the physical layout of the environment and/or user behavior. The framework effectuates receiving data on the network's physical structure and AP locations, tracking client device movement, and predicting the client device's path to proactively manage network resources. The framework can reserve resources at APs along the predicted path and establish a virtual tunnel to facilitate seamless handoff between APs as the client device moves.

    Abstract: A wireless device with a slot antenna includes one or more heat spreaders, a PCB with vias to allow current to flow through the PCB, various components disposed on the PCB, and a slot antenna compliment. By layering the components, e.g., heat spreaders, PCB, slot antenna compliment, etc. one or more slot antennas are formed from these components as to integrate the slot antennas into the existing structure. The formed slot antenna is a spiraled shape as to reduce the overall footprint of the slot antenna while keeping the required quarter-wavelength total effective length of an open-slot antenna. The formed slot antenna is wide enough to allow the antenna to accommodate a wide bandwidth and may include a plurality of steps to further allow for tuning of the length of the slot antenna. The wireless device can further include a housing enclosing the internal components.

The two antennas fed from alternate ends and spaced closely together in which the connection of each antenna to ground causes the ground plane connections to be electrically far apart. A method of manufacturing an antenna system comprising antenna feeds which are connected via a spring pin and a ground pin that is formed partially by a screw connection, spring clip, or spring pin. The antenna elements are stamped and printed on a single non-conducting surface and the antenna carrier is connected to a circuit board that contains the active electronics.
