    Abstract: Disclosed are compositions and methods for the electrochemical detection of enzymes, such as enzymes that are indicative of disease, disorders, or pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria, and fungi, or other disorders. These methods can be used in point-of-care diagnostic assays for the detection of disease, disorder, or pathogen (e.g., to identify the strain of pathogen infecting a patient in a healthcare setting). The electrochemical methods described herein can also be used to assess the susceptibility of a pathogen to an antipathogen drug. Also provided are probes suitable for use in conjunction with the methods described herein.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an additive composition and a low haze polyolefin material which may be prepared using said additive composition. In particular, the polyolefin material is prepared from a polyolefin resin composition comprising one or more optical brighteners, bis-3,4-dimethylbenzylidene sorbitol and bis-p-ethylbenzylidene sorbitol at a certain weight ratio. In an aspect, the present invention relates to a method for forming a polyolefin material; said method comprising: (i) preparing a polyolefin resin composition comprising polyolefin resin, one or more optical brighteners, bis-3,4-dimethylbenzylidene sorbitol and bis-p-ethylbenzylidene sorbitol, wherein the weight ratio of bis-3,4-dimethylbenzylidene sorbitol to bis-p-ethylbenzylidene sorbitol in the polyolefin resin composition is 45:55 to 25:75; (ii) processing said polyolefin resin composition to form said polyolefin material.
