  • Publication number: 20050245967
Abstract: A suture retainer for use with a surgical instrument comprises a slot defined in the surgical instrument, the slot having a bottom and lateral slot ends. A retainer block comprises a bottom and lateral block ends. The lateral block ends and the lateral slot ends are configured to matingly engage to define a v-shaped gap adjacent a lateral slot end near a mouth of the slot.

  • Publication number: 20050085826
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for removing foreign bodies within a body lumen are disclosed. An unfolding balloon catheter may include an elongated shaft having an intussuscepting balloon that can be actuated within a body lumen to capture and retrieve an intravascular device. The balloon may be configured to radially and/or axially expand when inflated, enveloping the intravascular device. In certain embodiments, the balloon may be formed by folding the ends of a distensible member inwardly, and then bonding the ends of the distensible member to the elongated shaft to form an expandable sleeve. An adhesive layer located along a portion of the elongated shaft may be used to temporarily secure the balloon to the elongated shaft.

  • Patent number: 6062663
Abstract: A door for a computer case is provided which can be moved to a blocking position for blocking access to bays and/or drives of the case. The door can be attached to the case by a slide connection for sliding it along the front of the case between its blocking and accessing positions. In the preferred form, the case is a vertical tower type of case and the door is preloaded on track guides so that when it is raised such as to the blocking position it will not fall back to the accessing position under the influence of its own weight. A gear drive can be provided between the door and housing to provide for smooth manual sliding of the door to readily allow the door to be pushed to overcome the frictional resistance provided by the preload without hang ups in the track guides.

  • Patent number: 5481217
Abstract: An interface circuit for converting high current output signals provided by a test equipment to corresponding low voltage signals for testing digital relays used in power transmission systems. The high current signal outputs range in value between 0.001 and 26 amperes. The interface circuit includes a current sensing resistor for converting the high current output signal provided by the test equipment to a low voltage signal. The low voltage signal is amplified to the appropriate voltage level to correspond to the test equipment current signal output. The gain of the amplifier is adjustable using a potentiometer to allow the interface circuit to be used with different digital relays having different input signal requirements.
