  • Publication number: 20060117286
Abstract: A method for correcting a timing error in an integrated circuit that includes a plurality of layout blocks with identical configurations in the same hierarchical layer. The method includes matching the tolerance for when a timing error occurs for a cell in each layout block with a worst condition of one of the corresponding cells in the layout blocks, and inserting a timing adjustment cell within a range of the matched tolerance of each cell to adjust the timing error. This method ensures the correction of hold errors and setup errors in an integrated circuit designed with a hierarchical design technique.

  • Patent number: 7038436
Abstract: An inventive switching type dc-dc converter is adapted to set a protective reference current level lower for a decreased output voltage, and stop the switching control signal supplied to a switching transistor circuit when the detected current level exceeds the protective reference current level. In addition, in case where the output voltage declines due to, for example, a circuit failure such as short-circuiting, the switching period of the switching transistor circuit is extended. Thus, the switching type dc-dc converter is provided with a fold-back current limiting type protection characteristic through reduction of the protective reference current level and extension of the switching period of cycle.

  • Patent number: 6922040
Abstract: In a switching power source apparatus which outputs a DC output voltage converted from a DC power source voltage, the DC output, voltage is compared with a reference voltage to generate a feedback signal which decreases as the DC output voltage increases. A current detecting signal which decreases as the output current increase is also generated. The smaller of the feedback signal and the current detecting signal, as a comparison signal, is compared with a triangular signal in a PWM comparator to produce a PWM signal. A semiconductor switch is on-off controlled by the PWM signal. Therefore, the apparatus can perform a constant voltage control with a current limit function.

A semiconductor switch is on-off controlled by the PWM signal. Therefore, the apparatus can perform a constant voltage control with a current limit function, which can improve the accuracy of a current limit operation, eliminate the need of a special high speed operation of a current detecting circuit and a driver and stabilize the output voltage during the operation of current limit.

  • Patent number: 6369886
Abstract: A pattern reading apparatus for reading a pattern from an object. The pattern reading apparatus includes a minute-area light source, an objective lens system, an imaging lens, and an imaging element. The objective lens system causes an illumination light beam from the light source to be incident on the object and converges the light beam reflected from the object. The imaging lens forms an image of the object using only a scattered component of light which has been reflected from the object. The imaging element is disposed at a position where the image of the pattern is imaged for reading the pattern.

  • Patent number: 6310689
Abstract: A pattern reading apparatus for reading a pattern from a reflective object or a transparent object. The pattern reading apparatus includes a minute-area light source, an objective lens system, an imaging lens, and an imaging element. The objective lens system causes the illumination light beam from the light source to be incident on the object and converges the light beam reflected from or transmitted through the object. The imaging lens forms an image of the object using only a scattered component of light which has been reflected from or which has passed through the object. The imaging element is disposed at a position where the image of the pattern is imaged for reading the pattern. In particular, light that forms an image of the light source is prevented from reaching the imaging element. In the case of a reflective object, ghosting light due to a reflection from a surface of the objective lens is prevented from reaching the imaging element.
